Dr. Joseph Harold Zelson, MD

My four sons have been patients of Dr. Zelson until we recently moved. I met him when our 1st son (now a healthy 21 yr old) was in the NICU (born at 23 wks). Every nurse in the NICU told us to call Orange Pediatrics. All four of my sons were always so well taken care of. I could call several times a day and about anything and they were always amazing! Always kind, patient, and caring. Every single person there was just as special as Dr. Zelson. Love that place and so did my boys.

My children have been going to Dr. Zelson since they were born, and in the case of my 20 year old, Dr. Zelson took over his care when my son was born a 28 week preemie and moved from the NICU to the growing unit. I can not emphasize enough how Dr. Zelson goes above and beyond the call of duty. I have known him personally since I was 12 and one of his first patients. I sought him out when I was pregnant the second time at 33 years of age. I was on bedrest in the Maternal Special Care Ward at Yale, and he visited ME every day to check in on how I was doing and how the baby was. He was a ferocious advocate for my infant son when the insurance company was calling the hospital every day trying to get him released. This at a time when my son was having preemie apneas that the nursing staff had to use an ambu bag to get him back from. If it were not for Dr. Zelson, my son would have been released too early. Since that time, Dr. Zelson has provided a standard of care of the highest quality.… And beyond that, his office staff is friendly, caring and efficient.

The most rude and incompetant office staff I've ever seen. A woman walked into the exam room and ask my son to hold out his arm. She didn't say hello or introduce herself. When I called to schedule a physical for my son, the NURSE told me I had to call back in 4 to 6 weeks.

Best Dr I have ever SEEN!!! He is so patient and takes his time. I have a 2 yr old that hated going to the dr as soon as she had him she pretends to be him now. He is amazing with his bedside manner.
