Dr. Josephine Rida Mikhail, MD

I moved to the area in 2021 & was bound to another provider for insurance reasons. This July I was able to choose a provider closer to home and chose a PCP from a system other than UH. As a nurse, there were several issues that occurred in a short period of time that created a lack of trust and confidence. I decided then to make the move to UH. I selected Dr Mikhail. Three days before my appt her nurse called to cancel, without explanation. She noted I had a future appointment scheduled with the previous doctor. I explained I had forgotten to cancel it, but would do so right away. She asked some standard questions and said Dr Mikhail would be contacting the PCP I had prior to my relocation to see if I was “a good fit.” It's been two weeks without word. It was difficult to find a UH doctor within an hours' drive that was accepting new patients, however in light of what’s happened, I no longer want Dr Mikhail as a physician. I am sure I’ll find a more professional, considerate doctor.

No follow up with doc. Unable to get a straight answer, staff is rude. After excessive charges without explanation, our family changed doctors- we couldn’t be happier! What normally took 2 to 3 phone calls to get a prescription from Dr. Mikhail took 1-30 sec phone call to our new doctor and our prescription was called in immediately. I wish I had changed doctors sooner. I feel much more comfortable going to the doctor now that I feel like he actually cares about me and not just the money.

As a patient i believe she only cares about you while she has you in her office. i am sick and was waiting for her to call with results. i had to call the next day to ask what was wrong. and when calling about a prescription in the morning. my urgency was not taken into consideration and never got filled after mulitple calls. you are just a number with her as she pushes patients in and out!

Excellent physician and diagnostician, very good knowledge of pharmacology and side effects of the meds she prescribes caring, sensitive to the patient needs, delightful person, spends as much time as needed with patients, refers patients to specialists when needed. This type of practice makes patients having to wait sometimes, but it definitely worth it.

Accurate and timely diagnoses. Easily accessible. Very friendly and understanding. Spends as much time as needed with the patient and encourages questions.

She is always behind i think sitting in a office for 2 hrs waiting is rediculous. Appt at 10 didn't leave till 12:30.

Very unprofessional receptionists

Doc Josephine is a very caring doctor. Give's you the time to listen to your issues and address's them. She take's care of the issue or as the other reviewer complained about will send you to a specialist. Whats wrong with that? She isnt a heart doc so i need heart surgery,then gee maybe i sould see a heart doc. She gives you a 3 month perscription. Not for insurance reasons but to make sure you still need it or maybe something different. If your on pain meds then to make sure your not a druggy.

Keep up the good work Doctor Mikhail and staff. Your the best.

This doctor will not write persciptions for more then three months at a time, even if it is one that you will need for life. She wants you to go in every three months so she gets paid by the insurance co.who is driving up health care costs. She does not take care of any problems, instead, she sends you to a specialist.
