Dr Maria is very thorough and always pleasant to work with. She will always answer your questions until you understand them. I consider her one of the top physician in the state of North Carolina

For a routine visit, the waiting room time is overly excessive. Got up & left after an hour waiting. You have to wear a face mask despite the lifting of the mandate. COULD NOT GET TEST RESULTS. She billed my insurance company for a "psychiatric evaluation" which has never been one of my medical issues. Seems like a money grab. Wondering if her charting or billing patients is accurate. She took a picture of me with her cellphone & didn't explain why. Staff is rude. This physician does not care abouther patients.

Always waited well over an hour past appt time. Even though she knew I had several past back surgeries, with severe damage to my sciatic nerve. Which caused severe bilateral neuropathy. She still always insisted on expensive diabetes neuropathy testing in her personal lab, even though my blood work showed normal levels of everything. “Just to be sure” Yeah, the machines were hers, the staff, and the $ went to her. If I refused, she threatened non-compliance. I pay for my visit every time. I always keep my appointments. I let my refills lapse, and needed 4 days called in to fill the gap until she could see me on Monday. She refused to give me anything. I could understand if I didn’t pay on time. Missed appointments. Or, had an opioid script. None of the above. My meds are blood pressure, and IBS meds. Without them I am in danger of stroke, heart attack, and can forget a good nights sleep, or eating well. I’ve put up with her pushing me around as a patient long enough. As a Dr, you… are supposed to listen to the patient. Put care above profit. She doesn’t care. Except to make a dollar. I’ve always felt as if she has a little g; god complex. She tends to talk down her nose at her patients. It’s unfortunate that she practices medicine this way. I’ve also noticed the way she runs her “addiction therapy” side. She doesn’t follow Federal guidelines. The patient is supposed to have therapy every month. She writes that the actual Dr visit with her, was the actual therapy visit. That’s not how that is supposed to work. It’s supposed to be with a Suboxone therapist, actually sitting down and talking about the addiction, goals, home life, work life, and family relationships, etc.. She does none of that, other than to ask how they are doing in a general sense. When a new patient is starting out, they need more intense therapy. Once a week, with counseling included. She just hands out 90 strips and sends them away. Which is WAYYYY to much. Only a handful should start on 24mg of buprenorphine a month. AND, if so, only given a weeks supply, so they can be monitored closely. Dosage adjusted quicker. And, the intensive therapy needed at first is available until they are ready to graduate to two weeks, three weeks, and finally a month at a time. No addict is ready for a months supply right off of the bat. This is the speciality I am going to school for. Addiction medicine. The first portion, was behavioral therapy & addiction counseling. So, if you don’t mind waiting between 1-3hrs past your appointment time. And, running out of a medication that your life could depend on. Or, if she will follow the Federal Governments outline for addiction medicine. Then, this is the place for you. If you don’t mind those things, and a less than clean environment, then it is the place for you.

Dr Maria uses blood test showed I had a serious health concern. Dr Maria goes above and beyond for her patients. I am so thankful to find a doctor so knowledgable.

Very helpful with aging parent. Horrible with me, however. Wait time is unacceptable. Rushes to give you meds. gladly to get you out. Filthiest office I have ever been in. The health department needs one look at the bathroom. Was concerned over weight gain and gave me a medicine to inject in stomach. No, not a diabetic. Was put in hospital and she claimed I had overdosed on my meds..Speaking of bedside manners, what doctor visits at 11:00 p.m. She piles on the meds, then wants you to come to her clinic for drug abuse. My last visit with this money-making quack!

Terrible physician. She has her nurse give prescriptions with not seeing you.

Dr. Maria diagnosis was right on point! She's not arrogant and makes you feel at ease. I'm recommending her to family and friends! Her staff is amazing

I spent the past 32 years of my life going to military doctors on Fort Hood, Fort Knox, Walter Reed, and Fort Bragg. When I turned 65 years old they politely told me "Find your own doctor we won't see you anymore." I was extremely upset! I went around the corner to Maria Medical Center here in the Anderson Creek area and I was treated like family. I quickly forgot my upset of being ditched by the military. I was treated like a PERSON not just a number. I was in and out within 30 minutes, yet I wasn't rushed. Each staff member took their time with me, listening to everything I had to say...even to the point of helping me back to my car. I have found my new life long doctor's office and I'm VERY happy about it!
