Dr Best a neglectful physician. Due to his negligence my grandchild was born with brain damage. During the investigation into the delivery it was found by many experts that he FAILED TO PROVIDE the level of care expected. He NEGLECTED to see obvious signs of fetal distress and continued with the course of care. He wasn't alone in his neglect, there were MANY instances that the nurses did not follow procedure and FAILED to accurately record the information from the fetal monitor to the chart. Because of these and so many more errors, they "won" the lawsuit. However, as a condition of the settlement, Dr Best was not charged with malpractice, which is a joke because that is exactly what it was, MALPRACTICE! I say "won" because there's no winning in this, my grandchild was robbed of a life of independence. He will forever rely on family to take care of him. Also, the limit that the state of La malpractice to is 500k, which is nothing when you measure what my grandchild's life is… worth.

Dr. best found endometrical cancer in me,,, referred me to Dr.Havoc Estes's , total radial Hysterectomy and Now My Life has been spared From metastasis ,May God speed to all who go to Him for Early section

Since Lane Hospital bought this practice, the level of service has gone way down. I resigned being a patient of Dr. Best because I questioned his decision to refer me to a charity hospital two hours away for surgery, when there were qualified MD's in Baton Rouge. The reason I was directed so far away is because Women's Hospital is a competitor of Lane Hosp. I had my surgery at Women's & am glad I did. Profit motive should not drive patient care!!!!

Excellent bedside manner. Very knowledgeable and explains things well.
