My physician referred me to the Foot and Ankle Specialist of West Michigan due to bone spur in the bottom of my foot. After confirming the bone spur exists, the treatment was to use special inserts, do special exercises and to stay off my foot. He said I injured my foot and it needs to heal. I asked about an ultrasound type of treatment i received from a PA at my family doctor office about 10 years ago. No specialist required and i was healed in about 6 weeks. He said we don't do that here. So then he scheduled a follow up appointment for 3 weeks out. I bought the inserts, stayed off my foot and went back in three weeks with no improvement. He said well it usually takes closer 6-8 weeks for improvement. If no improvement after that, we scale up to the 2nd tier of treatment. What?? Then what am i doing here now? Just so you can charge me for another office visit? Not happy with him at all. My husband looking on-line for other treatment options got me into his… chiropracter the next day. She used a shockwave treatment on my heals and i felt relief after two treatments. It improved over the next few weeks and I'm now back to walking and exercising pain free. I'm refusing to pay the 2nd office visit with Dr. Decker, which was a complete waste of time. So glad I found someone who could really help me. My so called treatment with Dr. Decker was a complete waste of time.
