A Blatant Disregard for Patient Care My recent experience with Dr. Eberhardt and his staff was nothing short of a debacle, characterized by their disorganization, poor communication, and outright unprofessionalism. It seems some doctors, like Dr. Eberhardt, act as if they walk on water, displaying an arrogance that completely undermines patient care. I had two appointments scheduled: one at 4:00 PM and another at 4:30 PM. While I admit to a miscommunication regarding the 4:00 PM appointment, arriving at 4:30 PM for that specific slot, Dr. Eberhardt and his team displayed an unacceptable lack of flexibility and a complete disregard for patient needs. The situation quickly devolved. When the front staff inquired if Dr. Eberhardt would still see me for the 4:00 PM appointment, he outright refused. Worse yet, he also unjustifiably declined to see my younger son for his pre-scheduled 4:30 PM appointment, for which we were promptly on time. This refusal was compounded by conflicting… information: his assistant claimed Dr. Eberhardt had already left, a statement that was immediately contradicted by Manager Amy, who insisted he was with another patient. This inconsistent messaging highlights a severe lack of internal communication and accountability within the office. Manager Amy's intervention did nothing to de-escalate the situation; in fact, her unprofessional demeanor and ineffective approach only exacerbated the frustration. Her repetitive assurances of "understanding" were hollow, as she offered no solutions and made no attempt to rectify the situation. Her refusal to provide her manager's contact information further demonstrates a disregard for patient grievances and a culture of avoiding accountability. Ultimately, Dr. Eberhardt's unyielding stance and his staff's chaotic handling of the situation resulted in two unjustifiably canceled appointments and a thoroughly disillusioned patient. Having seen him a handful of times previously, I can honestly say he wasn't a particularly good doctor to begin with, and this incident only solidifies that opinion. His apparent lack of concern for his patients makes it abundantly clear that we'll be better off seeking a new doctor who prioritizes patient care and professionalism.
