Dr. Joshua Joseph Kain, MD

Dr. Kain performed a standard tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy on me a few weeks ago and I had a very poor experience. I was discharged from the hospital within 45 minutes of awaking from anesthesia (according to the person waiting for me at the hospital), before I could even swallow or use the restroom. It was only downhill from there. I had severe swelling and couldn’t swallow my own spit at times (let alone my usual medication). I ended up in the hospital and Dr. Kain told me it was “mind over matter” before suggesting a feeding tube.. I discharged myself from the hospital to seek a second opinion after Dr. Kain’s smug attitude and inability to treat my condition. A few days later I ended up in the ER, needed emergency corrective surgery, was then in the ICU, and then in a regular hospital room for several days. Dr. Kain’s ego seems to get in the way of his ears. He wouldn’t hear my concerns, told me it was in my head, and then suggested a ridiculous procedure that his own… colleague said was inappropriate. I would suggest avoiding Dr. Kain’s care. His marketing material online may be fabulous, but his bedside manner and medical acumen is far from it.

Dr Kain is truly exceptional! From the moment I entered the doors to his office seeking a second opinion, I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. He is highly knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and very informative. He went above and beyond to make sure that my questions were answered and has continued to put my mind at ease. He is truly one of the kindest professionals I’ve ever met.

He is sweet. Nice. And zealous.
