Dr. Joshua Paul Kreiss, MD

Waited 6 months for an appointment and he ended up being a complete waste of time. Barely spoke with me or examined me. He didn't care to put in any effort to figure out what was wrong and just decided to push me off on to another neurologist. He clearly thinks that working at Tahoe Forest means he just has to show up and not actually put in effort. He even said "I'm just a Dr.in Truckee."

As with much of the medical community in the Reno area, Dr Kreiss is hampered by inaccessibility owing to patient overload. I really like him and easily fall into discussions related to sports - and he tries very hard to deal with my problems. But there's the accessibility problem, so I won't be returning.

I was referred to him by my neurologist from another city. It took over 4 months just to get seen. The staff was very nice, but Dr. Kreiss didn't review what my previous doctor had sent over in my case file. He disregarded my diagnosis and previous treatment and refused to prescribe me medications I had been on that were working for 3 of my diagnosis. In the office he seemed nice and personable like he was going to be a great doctor, but when 3 weeks passed my pharmacy said there was no RX prescribed by him. When I called his office I got the run around. He finally talked to me and was a adomant that he was not going to treat me for what I was referred for even though he accepted me as a patient under those diagnosis. He never told me this to my face in the office and was rude over the phone about how if I wanted treatment for which he had accepted me under....that I would have to go elsewhere. .primarily my primary physician. He showed a total lack of knowledge and… experience and by my insurances word...he is/was abandoning me as a patient because he would prescribe medicine he personally was opposed to. What is funny though...the medicine he did prescribe was for the very thing he said he was not going to see me for. This in my eyes as well as my insurances makes him a hypocrite. He tells you one thing on the office face to fsce, but when you leave he changes his story. He is definitely not someone I would recommend, and I have been to several doctors in my years of experience.
