Dr. Joshua Michael Levar, MD

I first met Dr. Levar in San Antonio. When he left that practice and moved to New Braunfels, I immediately started seeing him there, even though it is about a 45 minute drive - he is that good! He is kind and caring, makes you feel like a friend, not just the "next patient." I trust him absolutely, and he always gives you his true, unfiltered evaluation and advice. It is very evident that he is a doctor because he cares about his patients, not to make money. I have very bad eyes, and Dr. Levar has performed surgery on me. I have always felt completely confident, with no hesitation or concerns. I cannot recommend Dr. Levar highly enough! It is definitely worth the drive to be his patient, even if you do not live in New Braunfels.

Dr. Levar took exceptional care of my husband during a very stressful time. My husband was diagnosed with EKC and had limited vision during this time. Dr. Levar was extremely helpful in easing my husbands stress levels. Appropriate medications were prescribed along with an incredible bed side manner. I would HIGHLY recommend both Dr. Levar and Dr. Smith. The staff is also very attentive and they always have a warm and inviting smile.
