Dr. Joshua Yell

After being born at TMC myself, Tucson has always been a home to me and my family. I grew up a Wildcat and was lucky enough to meet my beautiful wife Amanda in senior English class at University High School. We both studied here at the U of A as well where I completed my Bachelors degree in neuroscience as well as my medical degree at the College of Medicine. After a quick trip to train at one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, I am thrilled to bring back my experience and perspectives to our Tucson community. I was inspired by my parents before me to practice medicine, but especially my mom, who still serves the Tucson community as a practicing OB/GYN. After she helps guide new parents through the process of welcoming a new child, she passes the torch to me to help care for the newborn and beyond. I’m honored to be joining the Mesquite Pediatrics family where we can truly take time to serve our patients and families. I wanted …to join a practice where I can offer consistent and easily accessible care to my patients. I hope to champion our families first values and provide comprehensive care to support our children to the best of our abilities. Outside of work, my wife and I love to cook and bake together, and we are always looking for new restaurants to try and gobbling up any cooking show on Netflix we can find. We also love to enjoy the outdoors and spend time walking, hiking, and rock climbing throughout our beautiful state.
