Dr. Joy Mara Maldonado-Viana, MD

My first appointment was like wow they immediately requested all and any imaging that had been done, they were very good at that. I felt like I was being taken care of. Now just awaiting the referrals!! Very fast paced also!!

My first vist to Dr. Maldonado was truly successful. She is very thorough and professional. Maybe what I appreciated most was the fact that even though I may not be able to recall all health events in my long life, I was not made to feel lesser for it. Her nursing staff was considerate of my dignity and compassionate. The reception staff was right on top of things and also professional. Having moved from California, having to start all over, my choice of a Doctor-team has been a perfect one for me.

This doctor puts stuff in your medical record that is not true ...staff is incompetent....if you need a really good doctor and staff this is not where you should be...there staff takes three to 6 weeks for referral and that is how long her staff took and still did not get the job done..I was unable to walk and was in need of home health care when she claimed she put it in the next day but do to her staff not doing there job left me with no help for 3 weeks.

I called the phone listed on the website and was transferred from an answering service to an office voice mail. One of their pt's was trying to locate the eye doctor's office she had been referred to. However, I was'nt able to assist this patient because all calls are returned within 24 hours. No live person to answer the phone is poor customer service not only for the patient but for other physicians offices trying to get through. Sorry, not impressed with the way this office is managed...

This is a practice that let's the front office totally run it. From putting you on hold till they reach lunch time, then you are transfered to the answering service (and I mean I was on hold a very long time). To them taking messages that never reach the doctor or supervisor, this is not a patient friendly practice and I reccomend any other practice. And when the doctors get the message they are bad about not following up. Once again go somewhere else,,,,,,,any where else. You are boln to have a better relationship with your doctor there. Esecially Dr. Maldanodo

She is very thorough and spends a lot of time with her patients. Her staff is great. I have recommended her to several people and they all like her. My husband and I have been her patients for over 5 years.

An excellent & very caring Doctor; takes approx 30 minutes with each patient
