Summary
I have lived all over the Chicagoland area. I kept trying to leave, but kept coming back. I come from a large family, and spend most of my time either working or doing family things. I grew up in Skokie, then attended undergraduate school at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. I then went to medical school at Loyola in Maywood. I did my internship and residency at Milwaukee Children's Hospital. I came back to Chicago and taught ambulatory pediatrics at Loyola for 6 years. We then moved to Maryland where I worked with an adolescent specialist while my husband completed a fellowship in sports medicine. We wound up coming back to Chicago after that. I worked in the Lincoln Park area and taught in the nursery at Illinois Masonic Hospital for a few years, before realizing that I was seeing very few adolescents. It was pointed out to me that upon reaching school age, many families would leave for the western suburbs. So, so did I. I worked at North Suburban Clinic for eight …years before making the great decision to join Drs. Bedingfield & Rosewell in November 2001. I am board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as are Drs. Bedingfield & Rosewell. Although I am a General Pediatrician and see children of all age groups, my special interest is in adolescents. I do normal gynecological exams, provide birth control, and I'm comfortable with just about any subject. I am told I'm a good listener. My husband, Bruce, is an orthopedic surgeon. I have 2 children: Peter, born in Jan85 and Leslie, born in March87.
