Dr. Joyce Kim Aycock, MD

Dr. Joyce Aycock is a highly skilled surgeon. My daughter and I had breast cancer with double mastectomies and reconstruction. Dr. Aycock was my daughter’s surgeon for her reconstruction and the outcome is so close to perfect it is almost impossible to tell she had a double mastectomy. Dr. Aycock replaced my 20-year-old implants from my reconstruction, and I am very happy with the outcome. She does beautiful work. Through the entire process, I was given the best service and care. Tracy took care of all my appointments and planted them on my calendar. I never even got to sit in the waiting room! Tracy escorted me directly into the exam room. Then within seconds, Kiana was taking care of all the nursing immediately followed by Dr. Aycock. There was no wasting of my time which I greatly appreciated. The way the office operates, and the way medical care is given is highly professional, but the team is also kind, caring, and fun. I was seen, heard, and understood as a person. I highly… recommend Dr. Aycock and her staff.

Not trans friendly. Repetitively and strongly suggests therapy for “body image issues” to trans folks who come in with a letter of dysphoria diagnosis seeking double mastectomy. She also vaguely and lazily answers questions about surgery methods, recovery care, past complications in her procedures, and more. She charges for revisions even if they are needed as a result of her fault. She does not take vitals, measurements, or pictures during consultation. She states she has no requirements for surgery qualification, that it is up to insurance approval. Lots of red flags. I only saw her for a consultation. Wouldn’t trust her as my surgeon based on that interaction. Proceed with caution.

Where to start…I am new to Colorado and have wanted a breast augmentation for ages. I finally decided to go for it but didn’t know where to turn. I asked a friend of mine who is a physician if she knew of the best plastic surgeon for breast implants. She polled a group of CO Physician moms and Joyce Aycock’s name came back from tons of the providers in the group. She is known as the “Boob Whisperer.” So I booked my consult and from the start Dr. Aycock’s staff was so attentive and answered all my questions. Dr. Aycock herself is AMAZING. I wanted a provider who listened to me but also gave me expert advice. I had a vision for what I wanted to look like, and only 2.5 weeks in, I am already so pleased. Dr. Aycock was clear that there is no guarantee on “cup size” but lets be honest, based on the bra, cup size can vary. She helped me select the right type of implant (I wanted the “gummy” implants), size (350cc), and profile (moderate) to achieve my look. I wish this was an appropriate… platform to show my before and after as she NAILED IT. And I am only 2.5 weeks out! The recovery has been so much better than I imagined. The pain was minimal, the scars are already healing very nicely, and I am feeling like I did before surgery just with more curves. I think a lot of it is due to the skill of the doctor. I also like that as part of the cost of the procedure Dr. Aycock purchases cosmetic insurance because lets be real, anything can happen in surgery and I like a physician who is looking out for her patients. You cannot say that about every provider. She may not have a flashy, public gallery of before and after photos but don’t let that stop you from getting a consultation with Dr. Aycock. She has plenty of before and afters she can show you in office. I know I “should” have booked other consults, but after my meeting with Dr. Aycock, I felt so at ease and confident in my decision that I booked my surgery that day. She was able to get me in about 6 weeks later. Do yourself a favor, and check out Dr. Aycock, aka, the Boob Whisperer. You won’t regret it.

I do not recommend Joyce Aycock as a surgeon. I went to her for a reduction, wanting to go from a 32E to a C, which she said this was attainable. She only reduced me to a DD, so I am still able to wear my same bras as before surgery! Her post op paper work showed she was targeting the wrong size (a D). She admitted that she failed to understand my size goals, even though I brought in multiple pictures, a bra in my desired size, and told her the amount of reduction I was expecting. Her reasoning was she "thought they looked fine". She offered poor options for revision, even though this was fully her mistake, which she admitted. These results are devastating and a complete waste of what I paid. She does not listen and does not take responsibility. Don't walk from her, run!

I was always pretty happy with my petite figure and my small breasts until after nursing twins. My breasts swelled SOOO much and then deflated just as quickly, leaving me with absolutely nothing but nipples on top of loose skin where my breasts used to be. I hated how I looked topless. I was so anxious about the idea of breast implants though, thinking they would be so unnatural and fake. Dr. Aycock sensed my anxiety and asked me to to seek a second opinion. She offered to see me for a 2nd and a 3rd consult. She wanted to make sure I was confident in my decision. I went for a low profile, 220 cc implant and I could not possibly be happier. I still look and feel like myself. The size Dr. Aycock helped to choose was perfect. I fill out my bras and clothing now, and feel so confident. I will happily wear a bikini or take my top off with the lights on. I love, love, love the results and I think Dr. Aycock is a wonderful, compassionate surgeon.

Dr. Aycock, is the most fabulous doctor. I truly love her, not only does she have a really great personality but she really knows how to make you feel special. I went in for a mommy makeover tummy tuck, lipo and breast implants lets just say I am so happy with the results and I am only six weeks out, yes I know I still have swelling my implants haven't fully gone down and I have scars but truly this is remarkable. I cry in the mirror in excitement on how well I look. She truly is amazing she really takes pride in her work and making you feel special. Thank you Dr. Aycock I love you and thank you for this body. I highly recommend her she is great and so is her office staff!!

I recently got a breast reduction with Dr Aycock, and I am so happy with the results. Every time I met with her, I felt supported and got all of the information I needed. Tracy is amazing as well, and I always felt like I was top priority whenever I went to the office. The surgery went even better than I anticipated, and the recovery was also very easy. I am so grateful to Dr Aycock and her staff, this surgery completely changed my life for the better.

Dr. Aycock is a true gem! She is a very talented surgeon with a great bedside manner. She answered all of my questions honestly during the initial consultation and was always available if I had additional questions along the way. She guided me through my surgeries (breast reconstruction with DIEP) with confidence and ease! Her office made a scary and intimidating process so much easier. I am forever grateful for the experience and wonderful outcome and I will continue to recommend her to anyone who is looking for a plastic surgeon.

I went to Dr. Aycock for a breast reduction and couldn't be happier! I interviewed three different doctors in the metro area, including the "best" and found her to be the most calming of the three (I was very anxious about the whole thing). It started off with a great interaction with Tracy, her receptionist. Tracy was very kind and welcoming. I never waited more than a few minutes to see the doctor and when I was in front of Dr. Aycock she was very calming. I was very anxious about picking right doctor, making sure my breasts looked natural, making sure I was in good hands, etc. And I felt that from Dr. Aycock. I love that it is a small practice, she took time with me that I needed and got me the results I wanted!

I recently finished treatment for breast cancer. Dr. Aycock was my plastic surgeon and did my reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Aycock and her office manager Tracy. Dr. Aycock did an exceptional job with my reconstruction. She is very easy to talk to and was always willing to listen to and address any concerns. She is patient and kind and an extremely good surgeon. Tracy has been extremely helpful with some billing issues and is always very prompt in getting back to me. I would not hesitate to use Dr. Aycock again and definitely highly recommend her!
