Dr. Joyce Margar Czuprynski, MD

Dr. Joyce was my daughter’s pediatrician from age seven to adulthood, yet my daughter often felt a sense of distrust, that her concerns were dismissed, and her symptoms fabricated. This became painfully apparent when she was diagnosed by Dr. Joyce’s colleague, Dr. Lambert, with a potentially serious neurological condition. She was sent for additional testing and evaluation at UC Davis Medical Center where the junior doctor/interns quickly assessed her symptoms to be psychological due to stress because her symptoms were not an exact match for the suspected condition. Dr. Joyce accepted this without question even when presented with a diagnosis and treatment plan from a respected neurosurgeon. My daughter went forward with the surgery nearly five years ago and was cured completely. Had she accepted Dr. Joyce’s diagnosis, my daughter’s disabling condition could have led to paralysis. One star for at least sending for further testing.
