Dr. Joyce Mcdonald, DO

My doctor for most of my adult life. She always makes me feel like she knows me and that I am not just "a case". She is an exceptional diagnostician. She is a clear and concise communicator that takes the time to ensure understanding. My medical issues are many and complex (with dozens of specialists, most referred to by Dr. McDonald) and she never fails to "quarterback" my care and my health. Her staff and associates are as exceptional as she is. She cares and I trust her.

I would not recommend this doctor. I found she did not listen to me and was very condescending

I have been going to Dr. McDonald for many years, it wasn't till recently that i have actually had real health problems that I see how poor her quality of care is. If you have any tests done you should call for the results , don't just assume if you don't hear anything things are fine. I have found that a lot of the tests she sent me for were never looked at until i called to find out the results weeks later. She also never seems to be in the office, every time i call for my results i am told she is not in and hasn't opened the test results. If you are looking for a doctor that is on top of things and cares about your health i would not recommend Dr. McDonald.

Dr McDonald has a very relaxing manner. She explains everything to you in a way that you can understand. Dr McDonald always makes you be aware of options and medications. She is very caring and a pleasure to call her one of my favorite doctors.

Dr. McDonald always makes time to answer my questions. She spends a good deal of time explaining & does not rush me. She is wonderful. The best doctor I have encountered. When I was diagnosed with Diabetes, she spent a good hour going over things I needed to know & answered my questions. I was overwhemled but she made me feel at ease but was very clear on the seriousness of the illness., which I appreciated!
