Dr. Joyce Debbie Rubin, MD

There are not many doctors like Dr. Rubin! She is truly committed to educating her patients and making them feel comfortable. She takes care of my mother, my daughters and myself making which is a testimony. She talks and listens in a way that I've never encountered before and I could not feel more lucky to have been her patient for over 12 years.

I Dr. Rubin was prompt, professional, and friendly as was all of the staff I encountered.

Dr Rubin is the best. Very compassionate and friendly. She makes you feel comfortable and safe. May God continue to bless her and family.

This review is not from a recent visit, but one from just over 8 years ago, when she delivered my first child. I entered the hospital, (at this time Ruben was practicing at St. Catherine’s in Smithtown) on Christmas night. My son was born very early into the next morning. I was given an episiotomy without consent or without knowledge that it was even being done. The stitching up afterwards was not only rough and painful, but never felt put back together the right way. It was my mother who told me that I had been cut....I thought that I had tore naturally. In the moments and days afterward, as I was healing and bonding with my new baby, I was so happy to have had a healthy baby and an unmedicated birth, but then the reality of it hit me, and I am still healing emotionally from what had been done to my body without consent. My episiotomy and stitching affected my next 2 deliveries. Thank God I had an awesome doctor for my second birth, who stitched me up amazing after tearing naturally.

Dr. Rubin is by far one of the most professional, caring, and amazing doctor that has cared for my medical wellness. Her respect for me as her patient is always evident in her follow up questions upon my return visits, her strong and delicate listening skills and most importantly her clear and patient communications skills. Her bedside manner is one which should be modeled and taught in medical schools all around, for it has become a lost trait amongst many doctors across the nation. Dr. Rubin takes the time to listen to your concerns by then responding to them with a level of strict professionalism, loving bedside manner, and most importantly clear "layman's terms" explanations of personal medical concerns that make every day women worry and vulnerable. Her level of professionalism and medical discernment allowed me to feel comfortable enough during sensitive and vulnerable medical times. She is truly a gem in a current medical world where kindness and sensitivity has become… nonexistent.

I will be switching doctors for sure. Wait time over an hour. She is very rude and unprofessional. Many people in the office complained about her wait time. Do yourself a favor and book with another doctor!!!!

I saw Dr. Rubin for my annual visit initially and was suffering from symptoms I've had for my entire life. No other MD or OBGYN ever bothered or cared to figure out why I was having these symptoms that were causing me pain and anxiety my entire life. Dr. Rubin took the time to find out what was going on and sat with me and my husband for 45 minutes to explain and answer any questions we may have had. I love her sense of humor, and her style of treating her patients. She makes you feel important and comfortable. She's absolutely amazing. She is definitely the DR I want delivering my children.

She was great. I hate going to any doctor and had not been for my annual in 4 years (since Dr. Paone left the practice). Still waiting for results but she made me feel comfortable. Thanks Dr. Rubin.
