Dr. Juan L Joy, MD

I made an appt to see DrDr. Joy. When I made the appt I have all my insurance info to the scheduler. After checking she told me all was fine and made an appt which was 3 weeks out. When I arrived at the office I was told I needed prior approval. If the office staff is so inept the Dr. must not be good since office staff p.JDris a reflection on the Dr. I would not advise anyone to see this office for Dr. Joy, Dr. Delgado or any other Dr on staff.

Complete & total disappointment in this physician. My suggestion if you are reading this prior to making a new patient appointment find someone else.

He seems to do as little as possible at each appointment. Ask's the same questions and has exactly the same routine at each session. I'm generally in and out within 15 minutes. I really never felt he was truly interested in my health problems. Was actually glad when they informed me by mail just days after my last appointment that my insurance would no longer be accepted. He was my doctor for over 8 years and never mentioned that was our last visit.

Because this doctor and his staff took a very lackadaisical attitude towards my plight and my wishes I missed my chance to get umbilical cord stem cell therapy via a clinical trial. After I told them that I needed tests done ASAP to be included. They didn't care, they just took their time. Because 0f this the trial had to go on without me and I sit and deteriorate instead of getting better.

I would not recommend this office to anyone, the staff sucks balls, you can never reach anyone on the phone, you leave message after message and NO ONE returns your calls. The Medical Assistants there are very poorly trained or they just hired son plain jane from the street. I ABSOLUTELY HATE HATE HATE GOING TO THAT OFFICE. I CANT SWITCH DOCTORS CAUSE I'D HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. THE DOCTOR IS VERY KIND AND CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS. BUT THE STAFF SHOULD BE FIRED FIRED FIRED!!!!!!

Joy was Unable to understand what was going on , Ordered no test to find the problem and no hope.Made an appointment with Watson Clinic doctor as soon as we were out of this office.Earlier MRI had shown lesions on the brain , Doctor Joy did not think the lesions were a worry , our regular Doctor did not agree with Joy...

Dr. Joy did not review my patient history thoroughly...gsve brief exam and said he did not think neuro...ordered CPK blood test...after waiting 4 weeks received a Letter from him test was neg and no need to see him since he could not do anything else for me...REALLY !!!!! in the mail!!!!! not even a follow up visit...not the way to help a patient find out what is wrong...my turn to send letters!

Dr Joy treated my mother for many years with quality care and compassion. He always took the time to listen patiently to whatever problems she was having and to address them in an appropriate manner. I am now a patient of Dr Joys' and am receiving the same excellent care.

Dr. Joy is a mild mannered ,caring physician who is in tune with the whole person. Knowing that he is in charge of my husband's care gives us peace.
