I had a great pregnancy and she was very compassionate about my well being and told me the truth about a lot of things to expect a new young mom of twins. She was the best and very knowledgeable. I am hoping that when me and my husband try again soon that she can deliver all my babies. I need some9who is going to be safe and knowledgeable to guide me not someone to babysit me. I also had a miscarriage previous and she was determined that I have a safe pregnancy WITH TWINS

This is the worst Dr. EVER! She is rude, nasty and doesn't care about anything you may be going through or went through in the past. Heres my story: Last year I miscarried very late. I was 20 weeks, my baby boy had a lot of problems, Trisomy 18, his chest cavity didn't develop and neither did his skull to name a few. My husband and I found out a few weeks ago we are pregnant again and as you can imagine I am very nervous. She told me to come in for a 6 week ultrasound. After misplacing my file and making me wait 2 1/2 hrs she finally comes in the room and tells me it's an empty sac - go to Maternal Fetal Medicine dept at the hospital next week to confirm, and call them back to schedule a D&C. I went to MFM and it's not an empty sac. They called her to tell her they are sending me to her the next day for blood work to test my beta levels again because the sac is measuring smaller than it should etc. She refused to let me come in for blood work. Told them to tell me to wait another… two weeks to re-do the ultrasound if I dont bleed first!!!!! I cried. The dr. at MFM wrote me the script for blood work so I didn't have to wait and I'll have the results today instead of in two weeks. She is an awful, disgusting person who literally has no idea what compassion is. Some people may not care about compassion if the person is a really good Dr. She's not that either. Speaking to her you feel she has absolutely no idea what she is talking about. She doesn't answer any questions. She's not worth your time.

This doctor was the most unprofessional, rude and abrupt person I have ever met. After being in the emergency room and given morphine, hydrocodone and promethazine for pain the day before she did not even wait to hear about what had happened to me before performing an exam. She quickly examined me without asking proper questions or waiting for my response. The heavy pain killers were not helping my pain. i have no drug abuse history or problems. she assumed i was a junky immediately when i asked about anxiety and pain relating to my abdomen. She did not perform a ultrasound as requested, did not prescribe any more medication for the pain. She guessed I had an "infection" and gave me two antibiotics and 40 ibuprofen tablets. This doctor spoke to me in an extremely rude manner and in front of my family as well. She made me so upset I started crying and my family went back into speak with her. She actually said to me why are you crying? When my family spoke to her the doctor stated I… obviously wasn't listening clearly because I was on pain killers and I should stop taking them immediately. This doctor was not concerned about my well being at all and I told her never to speak to me in this manner again. I will never return here ever again. Horrible!!!!!

Allow me to preface this post by saying this: My fiancée & I are easy going, friendly, first time parents to be who get along with everybody and can always be found with a smile. With that being said, we were initially quite excited to meet with Dr. Funches, as we had heard from some of our older family & friends that she was a professional. That excitement was expeditiously extinguished once she entered the room. Her demeanor was that of someone who "didn't have time" for us, almost as if we were an inconvenience to her day. We had many questions about the development of our Twins, but she was not receptive to our inquiries and was completely devoid of compassion. When asked about a rash that had appeared on my fiancées body, she turned her nose up, peered at the rash and ever so nonchalantly said "you have to see a dermatologist for that". We left that day feeling confused and unattended to. Fast forward to a few days later, when my fiancée calls me in tears because Dr. Funches… contacts her and says that elevated alpha fetal protein readings in her bloodwork meant that our babies would be born with "holes in their heads & spines". She uttered medical jargon after medical jargon and was as cold as ice in her delivery. Even after I called back to procure further details first hand, she informed me she "only had five minutes of her time to spare" and subjected me to the same jargon, all while interrupting me repeatedly as if my inquiries were not worth the breath I was going to use to voice them. I will not tell anyone to not consider Dr. Funches as your doctor of choice. What I will tell you, however, is if you want a one sided, cold, and insensitive doctor who will ask you no questions, go through the motions, and dismiss your every concern as trivial & dumb, then perhaps she is the doctor for you. PS: We found a new doctor the same day.

Judith Funches is the most horrible doctor I have ever met.She will not listen to you extremely rude. Pretends not to hear you when you are discussing your concerns. No idea why Law obgyn would employ such an incompetent doctor

I would never go back to see this doctor again. At her best, she has no personality and comes off as cold and uncaring. Two weeks after I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, she very spitefully told me "the baby could DIE if you don't get this under control." And yet, in that visit, she never asked me what I was eating (very low carbs) or if I was exercising (I was) or what the specialist had to say (that I was making good progress). After that, I was hysterical every time I had an even slightly elevated blood sugar. At my next appointment with a different doctor in the practice, I was admonished for having lost 8 pounds in two weeks. I told him that after her comment, I just didn't have an appetite and I was constantly worried that what I was eating was going to hurt my baby. He emphasized that the chance of the baby dying was very low -- wish she would have put it that way. Not to mention she has no business treating women who are overweight, as she has no sensitivity to… it. At an earlier appointment when I told her I hadn't felt the baby move yet (sometime around 20 weeks), she just waved her hand at my belly and in a snide tone said "well, it's probably because of all that" (or something like that). Nobody deserves to be spoken down to like that. I know I'm overweight, I don't need her trying to make me feel horrible for trying to have a baby. I would never see her again.

Excellent clinical skills combined with caring bedside manner. Professional courteous staff. Unbeatable combination!

I had heard she was insensitive but I thought that this was not as important as her skill so I went to her until the combination of gross insensitivity in the face of a cancer scare was enough!I was left waiting for test results for weeks, given only 5 minutes of her time, "blew off" my concerns which another doctor confirmed as a real medical problem a few weeks later, and told she had no more for me, and this after an hour's wait in the outer office and 40 minutes in the "cubicle" inside. Even the nurse seemed embarrassed by her behavior as she tried to compensate when the doctor left the room. Now I see why so many of my friends refuse to go to her.
