Dr. Judith E Orodenker, PhD

Working with Judith has been an absolutely transformative experience in my life, and it is a true honor to be able to pen a few public words of testimony about her to help others find her. Judith has a phenomenal gift for intuitively understanding me, and every time we meet we pick back up at the depth from which we left off. She has an incredible memory and a beautiful and artistic way of looking for my patterns and gently bringing them to my attention. I know she fine tunes her therapy to meet my individual needs, and I treasure the way a trust and bond has formed between us. I walk into her office always confident that she will be present for me and with an unwavering kindness positioning me towards discovering the healthiest of self-perspectives. I am always in awe of how influential a single 45-minute block with her can be. I often come away with a journal full of thoughts to reference between sessions to help her words echo. My best friends all uphold the importance of therapy… and self care, and so for years I have been known to share with my inner circle Judith's pearls of advice and wisdom. These helpful truisms have come to be known amongst my friends as "Judith-isms." (We even joke about making our own bracelets, which would be of course:  WWJD?) My work with Judith involves the long-term efforts of inspecting, interrogating, and (when appropriate) challenging life-long habits and subconscious assumptions that were formed in my childhood and still affect my decisions and personality today. In addition, our work also encompasses helping me transition through major life events including decisions regarding my romantic relationships, grieving the loss of my father, the 2020 pandemic, political events that boil my blood, a home buying process, and professional concerns. I share all this to emphasize that my therapy work with Judith truly touches every corner of my life. Judith welcomes all the thoughts and feelings that I have and receives anything that I offer with both patience and kindness. She is truly a compassionate guide for my self-work, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to experience her expertise, big-hearted compassion, beautiful soul, and elegantly timed humor.
