Dr. Judith L Solomon, MD

Horrible excuse for a health care provider for veterans! My husband is a disabled combat veteran. He served selflessly, in Iraq as part of the first invasion in 2003. US Army 4th Infantry Division MOS 19D. He was in country for almost a full year, and 1 month before he was to come home his truck was hit by an IED. He was the gunner and was thrown from truck and unconscious for 20 minutes. He sat in the talk for 2 days after because he refused to leave his men. Over the last 20 years he has had multiple MRI's, that have confirmed TBI and cysts on the brain, that could be contributing to his decreased cognitive function ( he is 41 by the way, cognitive decline, should not be a major issue?) Today we were excited to finally be making progress towards a diagnosis after years of back and forth with the VA. He does have PTSD and to them, because symptoms are so similar they are one in the same!! It took 10 years of fighting and advocating to get him on the right track for treatment. Dr.… Solomon was 45 minutes late. I totally understand, as a civilian I see civilian doctors and they run behind too. That was not the problem. The problem was....we walked in, sat down and right away Dr. Solomon said " I don't know why you're here", she had not looked at his chart, or the most recent MRI, which his VA PCP had him do because of increasing symptoms. She had no clue what his past medical history was, and could not move past the fact that "he seems healthy" meanwhile had she looked at the scan, she would have seen a pineal gland cyst growing in size, as well as another new, oblong mass on the right side! Instead she smirked when we explained symptoms. We lasted about 5 minutes into the appointment, before we finally stood up, thanked her and excused ourselves. It was clear she had no desire to help and had not even taken the time to look at the scan, which by the way her assistant called the week before to let us know were uploaded, after we delivered them since they were done via the choice program at a facility outside the VA. This appointment has set him back years. He is frustrated and angry, and frankly so am i!! These brave men, and women serve our country, come back changed forever, whether their wounds be visible or not they are all forever life changing. They deserve better providers than Dr. Solomon.

Making an appointment is sometimes difficult, this is only due to the VA and should not be blamed on her. The saying "Good things come to those who wait" should also be kept in mind because she is an awesome doctor and spends a good amount of time with her patients so sometimes we have had to wait quite a bit but that's perfectly fine as she always spends time with me and never rushes through anything. I highly recommend her!

This woman forgets everything about her patients, doesnt put in notes after appointments, i discovered that after pulling my own medical records. so no medical doctor notes after appts is great but she also falsified my records by stating incorrect information about me to the MVD. I will be filing a complaint to the medical board to have her medical practive reviewed. oh, and not to mention you will wait hours to see her she falls wayyyy over her alloted appt times.

I am not surprised at the low opinions the patients have of this doctor. I went to this doctor for a confirmation or a rule-out of a diagnosis; during my first visit with this woman, we discussed my problems; she would read from the form I filled out and smirk as she asked me questions. It was strange, but I was obliging. When she was reading (aloud) the results of my previous MRI, she smirked and said she doubted "his" conclusion; she further stated she never trusts other doctors' interpretations of tests. BEFORE the test was ever done, Dr. Solomon told me the other doctors were wrong, and that she expected to find nothing. The tests she planned to perform were painful, so I did not want to go through that if she had already made up her mind that I was 'fine'. I was experiencing loss of memory and difficulty finding the correct words, so when she asked questions, there were moments I had difficulty expressing myself; she found this entertaining ; she gave me condescending… smirks each time she would read something from my chart. As the visit with this woman continued, I became more and more self-conscious. She instructed me to bring shorts with me so on my next visit because she would be giving me the muscle and nerve tests. I brought the shorts with me and changed into them in the examining room. Her assistant seemed to be entering data as the doctor administered the test, and there were a few minutes between parts of the test where the doctor would sit down next to her assistant with a folder in her hands; Dr. Solomon would hold the folder in front of her face, whisper to her assistant, and they both would get a real kick out of the comment. the laughter was not loud, but it still bothered me. If three people are in a room and only two are in on the joke, it is usual that the third person IS the joke. More importantly, this is a PROFESSIONAL SETTING...both their behaviors were inappropriate, but the doctor is the lead - I hold HER responsible for her assistant's behavior.Once the testing finally ended, Dr. Solomon instructed me to make an app't for the results, and she abruptly existed the room, leaving with the door wide open; when I got up to close the door in order to change my clothes, she saw me and asked what I was doing. When I explained I needed to change back into my street clothes, she made a very snide remark "oh, I thought you came in looking like that" and laughed. It was at this time when she remembered that I had a CD of an MRI performed by another doctor, and she asked if I would bring it with me in order that she might look for herself why the other doctors made the diagnosis that they had chosen. At my next visit, I received the results of the tests, and she looked at the CD I brought; she asked if she could keep it for a week so that she could study it closely. I left that CD with her; when I called a week later, She did not remember ME and she did not recall having ever seen a CD. After a minute or two, she told me to try again at another time. I called several times, and she told me each time she could not find it. Finally I went TO her office without an appointment in order to hopefully get her to look for my CD. When I arrived at her office, a staff member called her out and when she finally showed her face, she said she would mail it to me IF she finds it; but I said I would prefer picking it up. I tried a few more times, but after three or four months, I stopped calling. It was obvious she should not have been trusted with my CD - she had no respect for my property. this woman is UNprofessional and, in my layman opinion, she has an actual personality problem. I not only would NEVER recommend her, I would go out of my way to PREVENT anyone from seeing her - it is a waste of time, money and self-confidence. This woman decides she likes you or dislikes you in the first minute of meeting, and uses ridicule to make sure you know your place.

My Doctor referred me to this office. I scheduled an appointment and had a family emergency which prevented my keeping the appointment. I phoned the office, however, wasn't within their cancellation guidelines. The office turned my first appointment billing over to a collection agency and reported to my Credit Bureau. Their office probably spent more collecting than my first appointment would have cost, which gives you an idea of the sympathy this office has. I will be filing my own reports with the AMA and although she's not BBB accredited, creating a BBB page to warn others. None of her web sites came up in tonight's search, so uncertan if one is active currently. I've never met this Doctor, nor stepped foot inside her office. A Neurologist should be caring, but obviously money means more to this Doctor. Out of 15 reviews she is two stars and that is something I wish I'd seen before scheduling an appointment!

Dr. Judith L. Solomon is a neurologist who will actually spend time with you and listen to your issue. This may be why one waits in the waiting room a little longer then you would at other physicians. I was in her office for one hour! If you are tired of those revolving door physicians like I was where you are in for 10 minutes then this is the doctor for you.
