Dr. Judy Chii-Wen Liu, MD

Dr. Liu graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University and continued on at Harvard to obtain a Masterʼs degree in the history of medicine. She attended Vanderbilt School of Medicine and did her ophthalmology residency and fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the University of Iowa. During her distinguished academic career she was the recipient of the Tennessee Women in Medicine Scholarship, and the P.J. Leinfelder Award for excellence in ophthalmic research at the University of Iowa . She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Liu has been a coinvestigator in numerous multicenter research studies investigating novel therapies for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and macular edema. In addition, she is published in peer reviewed ophthalmic journals and in Duaneʼs Foundations of Clinical Ophthalmology. Dr. Liu is presently Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the …University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
