Dr. Julia Maria Biernot, MD

As someone else stated. I did not find Dr. Biernot warm and compassionate either. She did little to explain the test results to my husband and me; just kept asking if we had read the result letter and understood it. I felt like that's what she should have been explaining. We spoke with her through a computer screen and I got the impression that she was totally bored with having to explain things to old people who were not educated like her. We had previously worked with a nurse practitioner who was attentive, caring, listened, asked numerous questions, and seemed genuinely interested in helping us get to the root of my husband's memory problems. Not so with Dr. Biernot. I hope that we do not have to have any further contact with her!

Dr. Biernot was neither warm nor compassionate. She sent and all information to me through her nurse, who is argumentative, uncaring and who has no problem with talking down to you. When I felt as if my mental function was deteriorating significantly, I asked Dr. Biernot to order an MRI. Her nurse, Nancy, said I would first have to take an hours long mental and physical exam, which gets scheduled for months out. I had to have my primary care doctor order the MRI. When she got the results, Dr. Biernot's nurse would tell me nothing more than that my brain had some shrinkage "appropriate for my age group." In fact, the report showed deterioration of nerves and myelin, two items that keep your brain ALIVE. I would certainly NOT recommend Dr. Biernot to anyone. Stay far away from this one!
