Dr. Julia Degroff Maximon, MD

Dr. Maximon excels at listening to her patients. Her sincere caring is clear in her attentive assessment and she is a skilled practitioner. She's the best psychiatrist I've ever had.

She was very skeptical of what I told her, particularly with regard to substance abuse. She is apparently more concerned with figuring out whether I'm a pot head than helping me. ADD looks a lot like being stoned, agreed, but come on. I got that diagnosis over 5 years ago. I've had the symptoms my entire life. A tox screen? Really? I have never experienced this kind of attitude from a doctor before. She seems to think it's normal. In my experience it is very abnormal.I don't think I will be going back.
