Julia started her career in Rheumatology nearly 11 years ago with the hope to help numerous patients with chronic, painful conditions live a more functional life. Julia has a passion for Osteoporosis as it is significantly underdiagnosed and undertreated throughout the country; she enjoys coming to work and being an advocate for her patient’s needs.In her free time, Julia is the President of the Society of Physician Associates in Rheumatology (SPAR) where they advocate for PA advancement and improvement of health of patients with rheumatologic conditions. At home she enjoys being on the board of the Humane Society of South Central Michigan and the BCMAMS, a local philanthropy organization that betters the Battle Creek community. She and her husband have two young children, 2 dogs and a cat, and all enjoy camping and traveling together.Education is the most empowering tool I can give my patients. By doing so, it allows patients to make informed decisions and feel comfortable …with their treatment plan. There is not a one size fits all treatment approach.
