A Colorado native, Julia earned her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in biomedical services from Colorado State University. She went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina and later obtained a postgraduate certification in surgical oncology from Banner MD Anderson in Gilbert, Arizona.
