Dr. Julian Shayne Edelschick, MD

I loved Dr Edelschick, he was there by 9 am both mornings to see my baby, very thorough, and had a great personality. He had us discharged quickly when test results were back. Explained medical information in an easy way to understand and encouraged questions.

My child was admitted to HRMC early Nov 2017 by Dr.Edelschick with RSV. He was unaware of my knowledge about the virus and I was a former pediatric nurse from south Florida. I felt as through he was making up treatment plans to keep us admitted. I had to refuse Unnecessary treatments and demand them to wean the oxygen the nursing staff told me he won’t allow them to wean because my baby had RSV there was no indications not to wean. During sleep the oxygen came out of her nose and her oxygen saturations never dropped I told them this and still wouldn’t take her off to see so we could be discharged I ended up staying days longer then I needed too. But the worse thing was I heard him outside the hall talking about other staff members in such a degrading and childish way I was appalled. I will never take my children back to that hospital as long as he is employed there. I’ll be waiting for my hospital survey.
