Dr. Julian Esteban Martinez, MD

Dr. Martinez is a heartfelt, listening, caring gynecologist. He did labwork to make sure that my diagnosis was correct. Did ultrasounds to do a follow up. Comforted me with the results, and didn't rush me through my visit. He has the calmest of bedside manners, and is a calming presence when in the exam room. You can tell that he's been a gynecologist for a while and is all about the patient and not a number. We need more of him around. I would highly suggest him if you are having issues, but are hesitant. I used to work with him, so I didn't feel comfortable seeing him as a patient. Now that I'm no longer an employee, I see what all the patient's mean by his caring and calming bedside manner. If you're putting off your exam, mammogram, or anything else related to gynecology, you don't have to. He's the one you need to see. Trust me as a patient and a former coworker.

I absolutely love having Dr.Martinez as my OB, I have also worked with him professionally. He always makes time to explain to his patients any questions they may have and tries to make them comfortable as possible! I would definitely recommend him to others and will continue see him in the future!

Was first impressed with Dr. Martinez when he performed my daughter's first Pap smear. When he was recently referred to perform a surgical procedure on me I readily agreed. I am completely satisfied with my surgery! Highly recommend this doc!!!!

I've had both my kids with Doctor Martinez and both times it's been a great experience. He always takes the time to listen to me, explain things thorougly and help me relax with the things that are not important. I like that he has a sense of humor and yet he is very professional and knows about his subject. I've had a difficult first delivery and he called all the right shots, kept me calm, under control and everything run smoothly. I've recommended him to friends and family and everybody has been very happy with him. Even my husband says he wishes Dr Martinez would be his doctor!

Long review - but worth the read!! I was originally seeing a practice in Fairfax for my first pregnancy. There was something I didnt really like about seeing 6 different doctors and not knowing who you would have on your delivery day. But I didn't know any better and thought that was just the way it was. WELL I WAS SO WRONG! I really wanted to have a natural birth - no drugs (I know you think i'm crazy). So I started asking my Fairfax doctors questions about it and I was not getting answers that I liked. They seemed very apprehensive about letting me walk around in labor and not being hooked up to the monitor 100% of the time. Trust me ladies - laying in a bed during labor is not natural and not comfortable at all. The minute I HAD to get into bed because my legs felt like they were going to collapse was the minute my labor became unbearable. So I asked a friend of mine who recommended Dr. Martinez. After talking to him for 20 min, I KNEW he was the doctor who was going to deliver my… baby girl and switched doctors half way through my pregnancy. All in all, I wound up with a C-section anyway because after 5 hrs at 10 cm, she was not coming out. But there is something to be said for absolute trust in your doctor and feeling like he is truly advocating what is best for you and your baby, not just pushing you to get a c-section. I wish I could find a doctor like Dr. M for all of my doctors. And besides Dr. M, his staff is super friendly and wonderful. Everything about this office is great!!! Now with baby number two coming, I would never think of having anyone else there but Dr. M.

He is the best doctor i met he was taking care of me during pregnancy and after givig birth. He is friendly as well as his staff. I wish him good luck in his life.

Dr. Martinez is a great doctor - he always takes time to address my concerns and never is impatient or rushed. I also really love the staff - they are friendly and accommodating. There is usually not a long wait (5 min or so), I don't think this office "double books" like so many other doctor's offices.

If you are looking for a doctor who really cares about his patients this is your guy. I have had some issues and had trouble finding a gyno in the area that would provide the individual care and knowledge of unique conditions. Dr. Martinez was helpful right of the bat and is very open to learning about and helping with unique medical conditions.

Dr.Martinez and staff made me feel welcomed right when i stepped through the door!(and may i add he has a beautiful office).DR.Martinez was very caring and courteous throughout the whole time and he made me feel very comfortable!Many OBGyn doctors that i have seen in the past did not make me feel comfortable and it would be so hard for me to get a appointment with them and they were not as concerned or caring as Dr.martinez is! It was a Ease to get a appointment With him.Dr.Martinez and his staff were very knowledgable and he spend a good quality of time with me and answered all of my questions,especially the best part is that i never had to wait in the waiting area for a longtime(no longer than 5 minutes) to see him and they were very efficient in acommidating a appointment for me.Dr.Martinez is such a amazing,gentle,caring,knowledgable doctor.I Have recommended him to family and friends and i would not go any where else.If i was to be pregnant again Dr.Martinez would be the one to… deliver my baby.Dr.martinez explains Every little detail to you about your results and procedures.Dr.Martinez Follows up as needed after my visit and he has a caring bedside manner with a professional and caring staff as well.
