I absolutely have so much respect for Dr. Miller! She is the most wonderful doctor! She is so approachable and easy to talk to - so not-doctor-like - lol!!! She always explains things in a way that makes sense to me and never makes me feel like my questions are out of line or not worth addressing. I can't find words to recommend her highly enough. She's simply the best!

My wife recommended dr Miller when it was time for my first colonoscopy due to her experience with dr Miller. I have since had 3 colonoscopies and an upper GI and dr Miller has been nothing less than fantastic. On my upper GI follow-up dr Miller was thorough and took the time to go over all questions and concerns I had. I highly recommend dr Miller.

I've been seeing Dr. Miller for over 10 yrs & she's helped me so much with my GI issues. ANY & EVERY single time I've had anything going on, she's been there to help figure out the best way to handle it. She & her staff go above & beyond to ensure my questions are answered quickly & I'm taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Miller.

Dr Miller is a caring doctor very considerate takes her time with you listens to what you have to say and makes sure she ex everything to you so you understand I would recommend her to any that needs a good doctor.

She is patient, addresses all concerns and shows great concern for the patient.

I had my first visit with Dr. Miller this past Tuesday. She was very easy to talk to and explained the procedure I will be going through very well. I left feeling very relaxed about the procedure. Looking forward to a very good doctor patient relationship.

I have seen Dr. Miller on several occasions for various Gi problems over the past year all relating to IBS/IBD. In addition I had a procedure done with her to confirm a suspected diagnosis. I would say overall she’s a great doctor and has a nice bedside manner. It’s really great to be able to see a female GI doctor because in my experience they are difficult to find. Dr. Miller is a very physically attractive woman, and in my view is a talented, knowledgeable Physician. As some have said, it is indeed true- she does appear to really enjoy typing on her computer rather than making eye contact and carrying on a two-way conversation during intake appointments. Why exactly that is, I don’t know— did she recently get a new computer with lots of bells and whistles on it, or better yet did she start a keyboarding class in her spare time and needs extra practice typing ? It beats me— you might have to ask Dr. Miller herself about her love for her computer. Despite all the great things… about her, however I have encountered downsides. During a few more recent appointments that I have had with her, she has seemed rushed and didn’t really appear to want to listen to and discuss the symptoms/ problems I have been experiencing with the chronic illness that I have. She appeared to want to run in the room, chat briefly with me for roughly 5 minutes, and then run out so she could I guess leave to go home for the day/ do something with her family. This is not always the case- many times she is more thorough in appointments. My guess is that it depends on the day and if she’s running late or if she wants to leave work early? Either way, I feel that she should always be as thorough as possible— considering I, like I’m almost all her patients have waited for weeks to get an appointment with her often concerning a painful, frustrating and/or embarrassing new/ongoing problem that sometimes needs to be addressed/treated in a new or different manner. Also I find it very difficult to contact her or to get recommendations about what to do in the event of new symptoms/flare ups etc if I don’t have an appointment with her very very soon (it can take weeks to get an appointment with her). Dr. Miller does not do any patient phone calls or follow ups in my experience. I always speak with her nurse, who is very sweet and empathetic when it comes to Gi troubles. However based on my experience it doesn’t appear that Dr. Miller and her nurse communicate about patient follow-up questions or new alarming symptoms and what to do or what was said/recommended during the call. On several occasions during appointments, Dr. Miller will mention a ‘new’ or differing treatment option that she believes I have not heard of or have tried, when actually I was told by her nurse to try it 2 weeks ago over the phone. Or , Dr. Miller will ask me how a medication she prescribed in a previous visit (if she remembers) is working for me , when actually I had called her nurse a few days before my appointment because the Rx wasn’t helping and she said to discontinue it until I saw Dr. Miller so she could prescribe something different. It is clear that anything that happens or any conversation/change in treatment between appointments is not something that Dr. Miller has any recollection or knowledge of almost whatsoever. I’m not sure who is to blame for this but I feel this is a place where she and her team could definitely improve. All in all, I believe Dr. Miller is a great doctor, and I feel very lucky to have found her and have her as my gastroenterologist despite the few shortcomings I believe she has. I would recommend her to any woman with GI problems looking for a Female GI physician!!

There are very few people that are more skeptical about doctors than I am, but I must say that Dr. Miller is one of two doctors (and the only specialist) that I totally trust. I have always found her to be warm and engaging, but more importantly, she has always been 100% right about every issue I have had. Her concern for my health has always extended beyond that of a gastroenterologist, and she has even pursued resolutions to issues that my other medical professionals ignored. Her office staff is very personable and accommodating, and they make it obvious that they care. After reading the other reviews posted at this site, my best advice is that, however you feel about her or her associates, you will not find anyone that will dedicate herself to resolving your gastroenterology/medical issues more than she will. In short, if you want the job done right, she’s the one to see.

Dr. Miller may be good at what she does, but the whole process of getting a colonoscopy in her clinic and with her is about as personal as a cow being put through the chute to get branded. I received instructions from Dr. Miller's clinic and never saw her before the procedure. The instructions were vague so I called and she called me back several hours later. She gave me different instructions than the instruction packet after I had already started the grueling prep. When I arrived at the clinic they checked me in, I signed the papers and eventually placed me in what seemed like a warehouse with curtains and beds. I had to go to the bathroom as the prep was working overtime. Nurses walked by and ignored me as I tried to politely flag them down. The anesthesia doctor had me hooked up to some kind of IV so I couldn't just get up and go. I could write an article on the aesthetician and her lack of bedside manners. I was there several hours before Dr. Miller got to me. She was way… behind schedule. When she did come over to acknowledge me, I was trying to explain my concerns to her and she was in a hurry and didn't want to hear my issues. I raised myself up off the bed and told Dr. Miller- "I am scared and would appreciate you hearing me out." At that point, she calmed down and stopped for one minute to listen. I feel she realized that I was not a complacent patient and had real concerns. Again, I did not see her before the procedure. I can tell you Dr. Miller drinks a lot of water as I would see her over and over again drinking water at the water dispenser as my cattle chute bed was in a perfect position to see what was going on in the facility:) About the aesthetician, when she asked if the doctor checked for this or that, I said no and she just brushed it off and said I am sure the doctor has those reports. Several months later, I received a bill from Raleigh Sedation Associates LLC telling me that BCBSNC did not pay them and they needed for me to sign a grievance form. The only problem is they waited many months and BCBSNC said it was too late to file a grievance. I went to a BCBSNC preferred provider to get a colonoscopy and now I am receiving a $1,505.00 bill. A colonoscopy may be a routine procedure but my brother had his colon punctured so making sure one knows the doctor and facility are competent providers is important. My husband had his colonoscopy from a Duke doctor. His experience and attention to detail were totally different than mine. I was there for him. The 2 stars are for Dr. Miller because I think she could do a routine colonoscopy in her sleep. No stars for the clinic. I only hope one doesn't have something she overlooks because she is overworked and distant. I would not go to her if I had other issues as she is in her own mind and not really attentive to the patient. I think she could be a great doctor if she would slow down and pay attention to her patients. Dr. Miller is very attractive, probably talented and I hope she reads this very honest review. The patient deserves more and someone needs to manage the colonoscopy clinic and make much-needed changes.
