Dr. Julie Catherine Brown, MD

Julie C. Brown, MDCM, MPH, is an emergency medicine attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from McGill University, Montreal, and her MPH from the University of Washington.

She completed her first two years of pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s in Cleveland. She completed her third year of pediatrics residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Seattle Children’s. She has also completed a one-year fellowship in pediatric biomedical diseases and evidence-based medicine. She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is co-Director of research for the Division of Emergency Medicine. Her research interests include emergency management of respiratory disease, …minor procedures, and the use of technology in medicine. She is ATLS and NRP certified, and is an instructor for PALS.
