Dr. Carkin is honestly the best dr. I have ever seen. She is thorough, very caring, a great listener and compassionate. When it was difficult for me to walk from arthritis she worked to find the drug that my immune system reacted positively to. I honestly feel she is the reason I lead an active life. Excellent Dr.

Dr. Carkin has been my "go to" person for osteoporosis concerns for over a decade. I have high expectations from my physicians and she far exceeds all expectations. She is attentive, thorough, detailed, informative, caring, up to date on all of the newest research and much much more. Thank you Dr. Carkin for being my anchor. Much appreciated.

I find it impossible to believe the negative reviews below. I have been a patient of Dr. Carkin's for 20 years and have been treated with utmost respect, compassion and the willingness to listen and discuss options. She is the most gentle, kind doctor I've seen, and her nurses (previous and current) are equally wonderful. I cannot imagine her enraged under any circumstance. She is darn near angelic!

Dr. Carkin, by far, goes above and beyond to know you, knows what's wrong with you/or seeks to know, listens with kindness and sincere interest, and is overall the best doctor I have ever had, or likely ever will have, and I have seen many.

Dr Carkin is thoughtful, determined and very intellegent!! I have suffered for years until i went to her, now i am on the road to getting my life back! Bonnie, Dr Carkin's RN is always available and work very hard to advocate for her patients. She has gotten my insurance to approve the biologics that will help me get my life back.

I had high hopes but she is a phoney with attitude (her nurse Bonnie too!!). She could not help. She misdiagnosed me. I still went back to her a third time, hoping. She gave up after 3 visits and told me to ask any of my other drs to recommend a dr for arthritis. She could not understand arthritis...a dr at the arthritis clinic Julie Carkin, could not understand, help or give her time. My disease is rare so it was understandable that she didnt know much about it but it's all arthritis. That part should be easy. She was rude and arrogant and extremely disappointing! I will tell everyone I can not to go to her!!

Dr. Carkin is the best rheumatologist I have ever had. I was diagnosed with scleroderma 40 yrs ago at UCLA. I do know what I think a doctor should be & she fits In the A+ bracket in every way. Her staff is so nice & she has had them a long time. She must be nice to work for as well. I have been with her over 17 yrs. She is caring,knowledgeable, but yet not radical with experimetal treatments. There are not enough words to describe how safe I feel in her care.

Best Rhumatologist ever. Dr. Carkin listens, cares, and responds to my concerns. 4 stars is inadequate. This is a 5 star doctor--someone I've grown to trust. If you can get an appointment with her, you will be on the road to feeling better. Greatly respected by her peers, she is also deeply loved by her patients.
