Dr. Drolet is amazing. She was able to pinpoint my issues immediately where no other doctors I’ve seen, could. And she has me on my way to getting back to my old self! After years of misery, I finally have real hope again. God Bless Her????.

I found Dr. Drolet while Living in York several years back. She had tests done, she and her staff were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I had mesh inserted and it was done and she explained the whole procedure before the whole operation. My healing was quick and without any issues. I will go back to her again if I need to. Love her.

I IOVE Dr.Drolet,she is very cautious and gets to major problems quick.When she expected I may need surgery to stop future problems,she was right on.Great Doctor with good instincts!

Ridiculous

Dr. Drolet did right by me again. I saw her for my annual and also check up several months after the surgery she did for me. It was great to see her again. I told her about a problem my partner was having and that another doctor didn't know what it was and just sent us away without doing anything. She told me we had seen the wrong kind of doctor and that we needed a urologist for him and she told me that she knew an excellent urologist that I would really like. So we went to the person she recommended and she was totally right. He is a great doctor and right away knew what was wrong and has been treating him. We have been to him twice. So she isn't just a great doctor, she also recommends great doctors. Not every doctor knows who the other good doctors are. My primary care doctor sent me to an awful specialist once. Thanks Dr. Julie--you came through for me again.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Drolet. She did surgery on me two weeks ago to remove a large fibroid in my uterus. It was intrauterine so she was able to do it transvaginally. She did a really good job. I don't have any abdominal scars either because she did her best (as she promised me she would try--I really believed her that she sincerely would try not to cut me open) to remove it without cutting into my belly button. I saw another doctor for a consultation who had told me that if he had any trouble getting it out, he would "open me up" even if I preferred that he just stop the surgery so that I could have the opportunity to get a second opinion before getting "opened up". I left his office crying because he kept talking about my age and not listening to me. The attending nurse came out and hugged me tight and gave me best wishes. When I went to my first consultation with Dr. Drolet, I felt really good about her. I went home that day and canceled a consultation I had set… up with a surgeon in Philadelphia. What I liked in my consultation is that she had taken the time before the consultation to LOOK at my mri images as well as read the mri report. Be warned that she is a Type A personality so she will seem like she is rushed. But I could tell that even though she always seems to be in a hurry, she does right by the patient because she does spend the time she needs to in order to understand your medical problem, investigate it, and figure out what she can do for you. The previous doctor that I did not like had not even bothered to look at my mri images and when he met with me, I could tell that he was reading my mri report for the first time during my consult. In other words, he had absolutely no idea what was going on with me and I thought that it was very unprofessional that he had not read my records before meeting with me. I also liked that Dr. Drolet respected my right to make decisions about my own body. I told her that even though I am at an age where most doctors think I cannot have a child, nevertheless I still have a chance and I want to preserve that chance. After I told her that, she always had as her goal to preserve my uterus for me if at all possible. She also told me that she would only cut into my abdomen if she felt it was necessary to save my life if I started hemorrhaging abdominally during surgery and that was the only option. The other doctor made it clear that he would open my abdomen just for his own convenience. Dr. Drolet does not like it when I mention the other doctor. When I tried to mention him once she quickly cut me off and said let's focus on here and now. So I feel a little guilty bringing him up in this review because maybe she would not like that and I feel like I owe her because she did so much for me. But I also feel I owe it to women with fibroids reading this to understand why I love her so much and why I felt she was a better choice for me as a surgeon. I spent a year researching my problem, alternatives for dealing with the fibroid, and looking for a surgeon I could trust before I finally decided to have my surgery with her. In that year, after reading a lot and talking to many doctors offices and doctors, I found that many doctors think women in their forties have basically throw away uteruses. They think we have a near zero chance of getting pregnant. The previous doctor I had consulted with wanted initially to just put me on something like Depot forever to stop my period. I told him that I had no intention of going on a drug for years to artificially keep my period stopped. I also told him I still want to try to have a child. He had no respect for that. He kept mentioning my age repeatedly and simply would not respect my wishes. I ran into this over and over again with the medical profession. Dr. Drolet did not treat me like this. Of course, she knows that it is harder for older women to get pregnant. But she respected my right to make my own decisions about my body and that included preserving whatever fertility I have left. As far as the surgery went, she did an incredible job. I had a fibroid the size of a three month old fetus or an egg. It probably weighed two ounces was her guess. From the pictures I had guess an 1/8 of a pound. Physically I feel great now. My husband says I am like a new person. I am so happy with myself that I researched and did not just go to anybody. My previous experiences with doctors have been mostly really bad so I was really afraid of going to somebody who would not respect my observations about my body or my wishes for my body or someone who would make a mistake during surgery. Sometimes I had made very bad choices in life but this time I am so proud of myself that I did right by myself. My summation of her is that she is a very conscientious doctor who is a very good technical surgeon. She will seem extremely busy but I have the sense that she is an overachiever and that she is one of those people who gets more done when she has more to do but that she gets a high from being really good at whatever she does. I had almost straight A's in college and graduated third in my class so I right away recognized that her really fast and quick demeanor is part of her having a compulsively perfectionistic personality. That was why I picked her. If I am having surgery, I always want somebody like her who is a perfectionist and who respects her patients. Well, whatever your medical problem is, I wish you the best. I spent years hemorrhaging, anemic, sleeping all the time, and in pain without knowing what was wrong with me and then I spent a year after my diagnosis living with my illness while I hunted for a surgeon I thought I could trust. Professional considerate and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend Dr. Drolet. Her office is clean and her staff is exceptional! Explains Everything to you and never makes you feel rushed.
