Dr. Julie Ann Gilbertson, DO

I see other reviews on here of other people experiencing the same things. I was a new patient last year, waited months for my first appointment and asked for avenues of fertility testing to just be brushed off. Came back a year later with the same questions and once again, felt brushed off and had a comment made to me that really seemed inappropriate for her to make without a follow up explanation. If you’re so set on not giving opinions unless through referring me to a specialist, don’t make comments with bare minimum examinations. Was brushed off for most concerns with zero explanation and left the appointment with more questions than answers. Thankfully it was my last appointment I will ever have with this doctor. My last doctor left the practice and she was just so much easier to work with and made me feel like a person vs a number. The wait time for appts is too long to end up leaving so empty handed. Medical help is a necessity that we pay for so I say take your business… elsewhere.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gilbertson's for several years, and will now consider seeing a new doctor. Both Dr. Gilbertson and her staff, first and foremost, are very kind people, and the doctor's bedside manner, general greeting, and human element are all there. However, as one other reviewer mentioned, she is great for routine physicals and that's about it. If you come in with symptoms or a significant complaint about something (other than a simple nose run), even backed up with other doctors' blood test results, she will do very little to genuinely help you solve the problem, or even determine a root cause. She will either write it off as "not a big deal", refer you to another specialist, or suggest a quick OTC for you to "try". I like a doctor that is willing to generally go the extra mile and try to find the root cause with you, as opposed you just generally writing you off or sending you elsewhere, which she consistently does. Perhaps that's the difference between a DO and an… MD. In any case, if you're generally a very healthy person and just want routine physicals, you should see her. If you have more involved health issues, I highly recommend a different physician.

Unless your looking for a Dr. who only does physicals she is perfect for that. Don't try and go in for something other than that she refers you to a specialist for everything. Simple rash see a dermatologist, 2 sinus infections in a row see an allergist and an ear nose and throat dr. After seeing specialists they found nothing wrong and I just happened to get 2 sinus infections back to back. Most likely didn't get rid of it the first time around. Better off going somewhere else where they don't refer you out to someone else.

Dr. Gilbertson was my doctor since Dr. Bressler retired probably in the 1990's. She helped me so very much. Now I have moved away from her practice and would like to keep in touch with her about new things happening with my health.

Best doctor I have had! She has taken care of me and my family for years. What I like best is you can actually speak to her when you have questions and not to a nurse or receptionist. She will call you back personally!

I can't think of a doctor who is as kind as Dr. Gilbertson. She has well taken care of myself and my husband now for at least 8 years. Every diagnosis that she as made as been correct and she was actually able to better take care of me then the time I was under the care of a specialist. She is a truely gifted doctor.

After my former doctor retired I started to see her. She is very caring and willing to listen to you and how you feel about the treatment. I would recommend her to anyone.

I had made an appointment to see Dr. Gilbertson and I saw her assistant. I ended up going to the doctor 4 times before they finally took a culture of my "spider bite." I had to tell them to take the culture and it ended up being MRSA. They still did not put me on the right antibiotic and another sore formed. I spend over 100 dollars on co-payments for nothing. I ended up going to another doctor and she treated me correctly. I no longer go to Dr. Gilbertson. I am so upset with the her knowledge and accuracy. I have terrible scars on my chest that would not be there if I was treated correctly in the first place. I do not recommend this doctor!!!
