Dr. Julie Hyun Kang, DO

She wasn’t incredibly rude. I expressed to them before I even came in to deliver that I am opposed to the surgery. She proceeded to tell me i am going to do the surgery as if I don’t have agency over my own life and body. Then she proceeded to tell me and send other doctors to tell me that I am going to bleed out and die. I repeatedly asked her do you mean there is there no chance for a different outcome, she said repeatedly no you are going to bleed out and didn’t if you deliver naturally. I had already done a lot of research prior to making to decision and she would not respect it. She was determined to scare me at the most vulnerable time in my life. She was so rude the nurses had to rush in to defend me. I ended up having a seamless natural delivery in spite of her wreck less unprofessional diatribe and have explored other options for my health issues that is working. I don’t think she should be a doctor she doesn’t really care about patients or babies.

Went in for a planned VBAC after my water broke to find Dr. Kang on call for my doctor who was out of town. She told me she would not let me VBAC and insisted i get an epidural while I was only 1cm dilated, among many other things. Told me I needed a c-section and did everything she could to get me one. Needless to say I signed out AMA and had a successful VBAC at another hospital with no complications.

Dr kang is the best dr i have ever had she gave me the chance to have a natural birth

I saw her 1 time after I had 3 miscarriages . She was smiling and told me that I was barely pregnant based on my log hcg , but they didn’t wanted to give me that test at the right time when I was asking about it and of course when it’s early and you lost it very early it’s goung to drop back very fast . For some reason I’m not a doctor and I understand that but it’s seemed she didn’t believe me . She said you think you was pregnant? For how long for 5 minutes ? I said can you please give me some time of exams to see why I’m I loosing she said :what exams ? I said I don’t know you should know you are a doctor . She said I don’t know any . I asked: what about medicine ? She replied the same thing : what medicine? It was all with a not nice kind of smile that is like laughing at me and think that I’m stupid . Then I said I need help because I’m keep on loosing I had 2 miscarriages. She said you have only 1 in the system, are you trying to change your history right now ? I said I’m not… trying to change anything I have this care plane only for less then a year , I just didn’t come to you guys because Im from another country i just got here less then 2 years ago I had no insurance before so I couldn’t go to see a doctor with my miscarriages I just had it early at home . Tests showed positive for 2 weeks then cramps , bleeding and it’s gone . Than I saw one amazing doctor which is left unfortunately Dr motley I got pregnant with her but unfortunately my gestational sac was empty and at 10.5 weeks we had to have a D&C for that pregnancy . Dr motley told me I need a progesterone for my next pregnancy because people with the negative blood type has low progesterone then those with positive.also she said she will monitor me from the very beginning because I’m a high risk for miscarriages and plus I’m A negative and my husband is O positive. I couldn’t wait to try to have a baby again so my dr could help me and monitor me but unfortunately she left memorial Dr office and since I have a community care plane for low income people I can go to see a doctor only in 1 specific clinic and if my beautiful Dr motley left I has no other choice but go to those who is available. So I got pregnant again right now and they put me to this rude lady Dr kang and I didn’t even know it , it was just only 1 appointment that I could fit in . I was bleeding all the way from 4 weeks since I found out I’m pregnant and of course terrified by my past experience I just want to help from the doctors to save my baby , so I went to emergency room 3 times for 4 weeks because I couldn’t get a doctors appointment and I was bleeding and didn’t know what to do . Finally they saw a baby and a heart beat but put me 4 behind instead of 7 weeks 5 days 7 weeks 1 day but everything was fine on the ultrasound except the fact that I was bleeding a lot and cramping for 4 days straight. I had an appointment at that day with Dr kang as well . Doctor in the emergency room told me to keep this appointment and ask my doctor to help me with bleeding . I came home called to the doctors office if I can come earlier because I’m in pain and bleeding a lot . The person named Natasha is very nice and she told me of course come right now . But I guess Dr kang told her to call me back and to tell me to not even come at all . I was so upset I said is she understand I had a few miscarriages, blighted ovum , I’m A negative type , I need help and closer monitoring but she said sorry doctor told me to tell you to lay down and do not go nowhere . How caring is it ? I know that America don’t save pregnancy before the age of 20 weeks it’s stupud for me because I’m my country they save every pregnancy at any week 4 or 5 weeks . That’s how I saved my daughter . I was laying in the hospital 3 times with my daughter and she is 9 years old now because do doctors put me to the hospital at 5 weeks with bleeding , they was doing shots iv fluids, progesterone , medicine to make me stop bleeding and muscle relaxers to make my uterus stop being so tense. And my child is alive . Now here I’m struggling from no help from the doctors but there is different doctors here as well . Dr motley said she will give a prescription for the progesterone and will closely monitor me in my next pregnancy and this person Dr kang didn’t even wanted to see me ! So I found another doctor her name is Dr maslyak I had to cry out for help and she took me the next day earliest appointment she could give me . She told me to take 400mg of progesterone and guess what ? I stopped bleeding and cramps calmed down . She said she will see me next week and will do one more ultrasound by herself to make sure baby is fine . So you can judge by self who is a real doctor from Jesus and who is just a person who don’t care about little life and have no compassion.

dr. kang was cool and straight to the point. she play no games and tell u as it is. she'd sometime sit down and chill. I would totally use her again. she wouldn't be your doc type if you want a doc who is trying to sugar coat things for you.

I really had a great experience with Dr. Kang. She was so sweet, and made me feel so relaxed about a difficult diagnosis. She gave me the bad news in a way that it wasn't so dreadful, and to keep going on with my life's plans and dreams. I thank her for this, and I will continue to see her.

I saw Dr. Kang at Broward General Hospital during an emergency visit to L & D. Dr. Kang's beside manner is terrible. I was 'prepared' that her manner is somewhat cold and was prepared for that, but the treatment I received from her was nothing short of rude, condescending and downright mean. She took an already stressful situation and made it worse and then had the nerve to tell me to "calm down." Dr. Kang may be a fine doctor, but she has a terrible manner of dealing with people. To say that she is cold is a gross understatement. AVOID Dr. Kang if at all possible.
