Dr. Julie Anne Wheir, MD

My first time seeing Dr Wheir. One of the strangest doctors I have experienced and felt very uncomfortable. Her demeanor was very odd and i did not feel like she was paying attention which made me not even feel comfortable discussing my medical history or concerns.

I just love Dr Wheir. She’s so sweet, listens, gives great advice and is gentle doing her procedures. Highly recommend!

As always, my visit with Dr. Wheir was great! She is so personable and easy to talk to. I always appreciate how knowledgeable and confident she is when discussing any OB or gynecology related issues. I highly recommend her!

Julie is amazing and always takes time to visit with you and answer your questions. She has been my OB/GYN for 12 years and always delivers the best care!!

Dr. Wheir is open, collaborative, and kind. I feel very comfortable coming to her with any and all challenges I experience and know she will not only believe me at first account, but will also support me in finding the best solution for my own comfort level. Front desk, was quick and polite. Paperwork was light! Got checked in quickly The ma/nurse was so helpful and comfortable. Very reassuring and super supportive of her provider. (Low men on the totem pole knows the best info :) And Dr. Julie! She answered 80%of my questions in under a minute. I did not discuss my results with anyone prior - had that head in the sand take on things. She saw it, corrected it (without me even noticing) and WE problem solved it! As she listed my opinions we discussed the pros and cons of each! I pray you never need Dr Wheir in the same capacity as I do ( or worse) but if you do, you’re in great hands! She is very patient, understanding, direct, and most importantly she is knowledgeable!

I went to Dr. Wheir as a gynecology patient 6 years ago after a friend recommended her. I also used her as my OB with my daughter 4 years ago. I absolutely love her bedside manner. She’s personable and kind, but also direct and confident in decision making - which was reassuring when we hit a bump in the road at 34 weeks pregnant. I can’t recommend her enough!

I have been a patient with Dr. Wheir for three years. Then she moved to East Cascades Women's Group from Bend OB/GYN. When I called for my annual appointment, I was told that they did not have my records, and that I was not an established patient, nor "grandfathered in", therefore, according to East Cascades, I was considered a "new patient" in which they are not accepting new patients at this time, and was told that I would need to go to my GP for my annual. Now I am required to have my OB/GYN records sent to my GP, whom has never seen me in an OB/GYN capacity. I have a-typical pap smears, & pre-cancerous results which is why I was referred to Dr. Wheir. It would be nice if patients were informed, and should be "Grandfathered" in as an established patient . It's just VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!
