Summary
During my very first experiences as a nurse, I felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, belonging, and purpose. These feelings continue to drive my work each day. Because the appearance and health of our skin is part of our overall identity, dermatology gives me the opportunity to see and help patients in a holistic manner. I can address each patient’s physical symptoms, and acknowledge and address the mental and emotional aspects of their treatment as well. I’m grateful to be a part of this unique and rewarding process.
