Dr. Jun Zhong, MD

Would leave 0 stars if possible. Highly inappropriate, unable to understand and communicate, and berates you before threatening to end the appointment early. Horrible person.

After providing Dr. Zhong with countless opportunities to prove he is a capable psychiatrist, I found myself searching for a new mental healthcare provider as a result of his gross negligence. Not only does he have a difficult time communicating in English, but additionally led me to believe he understood my concerns fully, despite the obvious language barrier present. Furthermore, Dr. Jun Zhong claims to have a background in addiction medicine and treatment, but while under his care I was forced to check myself into a residential drug detox facility due to him making an unwarranted change to my anxiety medication. This issue came as a result of a critical mathematical error on the part of Dr. Zhong, with respect to dosage equivalency of varying Benzodiazepine medications. Upon receiving a second opinion from another addiction specialist, I was informed that Dr. Zhong had increased my equivalent Benzodiazepine dosage by a factor of five! I would not recommend Dr. Jun Zhong to anyone.
