Dr. Justin Dorian Grey, MD

As a former patient who was a child at the time, I had a very negative experience. I am now diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and PTSD, and my symptoms were repeatedly dismissed rather than explored. Instead of listening, this psychiatrist argued with me and treated me adversarially. Most concerning, he labeled my behavior as “abusive” toward my parent rather than considering neurodivergent or autism-related needs and communication differences. Years later, when I attempted to obtain my medical records that I am legally entitled to, the interaction was concerning. He stated that most of the record would need to be redacted, acted as though the records may have already been destroyed, and then asked what I wanted to know instead. He said he would follow up, but never did. This experience was confusing and damaging for me as a child seeking help and contributed to my complex PTSD. I’m sharing this so other families especially those with neurodivergent or potentially neurodivergent children… can make an informed decision about their care.

Dr Grey treats parents like they are clueless and the source of all problems. He has no real understanding of children, only clinical - which means he misses a lot. Puts kids directly on meds and clearly misses the nuances that would truly help these children. Perpetuates victimhood. Clearly he has no children.

Grey treats all children the same following book standards. He’s quick to label them with medical disorders and put them on medication. Keep your children away from him!

Grey is rigid, pretentious, and condescending. His lack of compassion is stunning given his profession. He’s difficult to talk and repeats same book phrases and examples at every visit.

Doctor Grey was very professional and very helpful to my son. My son clicked with him immediately. Very grateful for his help and advice.

I first saw Dr. Grey 5 years ago when I was in a state of complete despair, after suffering profound adverse side-effects from prescriptions given me by a series of neurologists & psychiatrists. Dr.Grey is one of the best doctors I've been to. He doesn't leap to a diagnosis right away but definetly treats the problems accurately, also is very easy to talk to and honest. He also treats my 16 year old daughter who refuse to talk or deal with anyone and after going through MANY counselors and doctors Dr. Grey has made signficant progress.

When I first came to Dr. Grey, my relationship with my parents, my academic performance, and my emotional state were in the toilet. After about a year and a half with him I've completely turned myself around, certainly due in large part to his care. His bedside manner is bar none the best I've ever experienced, always polite, respectful, and friendly without being patronizing. He listened to me intently when I talked and would ask me questions to get to the heart of things. In listening, he's use his vast knowledge of his field to recommend effective treatment, whether it was medication or just good old fashioned advice. In one instance in particular he had my mother and I come in together for a group session. From that day on, my relationship with her changed infinitely for the better. I'd recommend him to anyone.

He picks sides in families. Believes that he knows your children better than you. Will destroy the little trust your children have in you.
