My appointments with Dr. King have been pleasant. I did not feel rushed and I got the feeling that Dr. King was interested in my problem and was trying to help me reach a solution. He listened to what I had to say and provided options for me to evaluate. I did not feel pressured to do anything. Unlike a lot of doctor visits, I felt that Dr. King was not in a hurry to dismiss me and move on to the next patient. I have surgery scheduled with him and feel confident in his abilities.

I underwent vocal cord surgery for papillomas. The whole process was excellent, from setting up an appointment to the actual procedure of excising the papilloma. Friends and acquaintances comment on how my voice has returned to normal. I am well aware of the particular issues that can arise when having a physician as a patient, both from the treating physicians side and mine. Dr King handled our interactions with great skill. The most important skill, of course, was that of using laser technology to excise the papilloma I could not have been more pleased.

Diagnosed with an annoying virus (RRP- recurrent repertory papilloma) two years ago, I was in an out of surgery to remove growths on my vocal chords, and primarily was operated on by a CO2 laser. Going into the operating room for such a minor, yet necessary, procedure to ensure the use of my voice was a daunting task. The procedure itself took about 20min, however, arriving at 5am to go through the entire check in process and prep for an 8am procedure, and leaving around noon is never fun. Not to mention the cost associated with the surgery. The hardest part of the entire process was the fact that my voice never fully returned after 3 surgeries. Every time, recovery took weeks, and even then I would not be 100%. With RRP there is typically multiple surgeries needed to remove the obstruction from the airways, and I reached a point where my doctor said, â??Weâ??re running out of options.â?? I did my research and opened up my physician search in Colorado and found Dr.… King. My previous physician had talked to me about in office treatment, and how easy it is, but he didnâ??t offer that service. Dr. King is the only one in Colorado who I could find who uses in office, non-invasive, treatment using the KTP laser. Since coming to Dr. King, my voice has returned, and I continue to perform my job where Iâ??m heavily dependent on my voice. The KTP experience is like going to the Dentist to get your teeth cleaned, except youâ??re touching up your vocal chords. Itâ??s nice to be able to walk in the office, and walk out the same day within a short amount of time. Iâ??ve done a couple of KTP treatments in office now, and continue to see good results. Iâ??m able to manage my condition, and continue to see improvement. The down time at most has been a couple of days of voice rest, and I really donâ??t experience pain when it comes to the procedure or recovery. I also have the piece-of-mind when I leave the office by understanding completely what was done, and how it looks in there because we can review the video immediately after the procedure. The benefits to in office treatments using a KTP laser have been tremendous. It is a very focused procedure and Dr. King has been amazing in getting my voice back. The KTP laser not only gives me a better quality of life and patient experience, but it also keeps my total cost of care down.

Dr. King resolved a debilitating vocal issue of mine that I had suffered for nearly a decade. I had seen several other ENTs, but he was the one who ultimately resurrected my original adult voice. Dr. King also has a consistently pleasant personality and personable top-notch staff.

Dr. King and his staff are extremely helpful and nice, and always make me feel like I am a valued patient, and that my health is important to them. After years of misdiagnoses from various doctors, I was referred to Dr. King since one of his specialties is airway disorders. It's so comforting to know that I finally have a correct diagnoses, and a doctor who is knowledgeable in the treatment and management of my condition. Dr. King is the only doctor that I know of in Colorado who offers an in-office procedure for my condition, which is extremely important to me because I avoid being put under general anesthesia. He always takes the time to explain things to me, and answer all of my questions, so I feel comfortable with my options and understand the treatments. I completely trust Dr. King and his staff with my treatment. I have been a patient of Dr. King for over 3 years, and am grateful to be under his care.
