Fantastic pre-op and surgery by Dr. Lareau and his team. I tried to procrastinate needed surgery until I could hardly walk. After Dr. Lareau performed a total hip replacement and got rid of all the bone spurs I was better. 5 months later I was back to refereeing soccer games. 8 months later I have essentially zero limitations. I have recommended him to all my friends looking for a top notch surgeon. Was also very impressed with Dr. Luke, his assistant.

To begin, I had two knee replacement surgeries prior to seeing Dr. Lareau. This experience (revision) was night and day better than my previous surgeries. After having two prior knee replacements, I feel I have significant experience and can say without a doubt that Dr. Lareau and his team are excellent and highly qualified. My recovery has been significantly better than my other surgeries and I found his bedside manner to be exactly what I want in my Dr’s. He’s spent the time I needed discussing my options and listened to all my questions and concerns about the surgery and recovery. He’s straight forward but caring and I appreciate everything he has done for me. He gets my highest recommendation.

Without a doubt, this is the practice to use and the doctor and team you want to have on your side. Having never been a fan of doctors, needing a hip replacement surgery is more than a bit distressing. Dr Justin LaReau and his entire team were nothing short of exceptional! On my first appointment I was x-rayed and diagnosed. I also found out what exactly I needed to do and how my surgery and recovery were to proceed. Team members helped me make plans and made appointments for me both for pre & post-op. It was seamless. The surgery center was filled with kind and funny professionals to make me feel at ease and it was a beautifully clean facility. The surgery went quite well (doctor used the anterior approach) and I was able to walk before I went home a few short hours later. Dr. LaReau even talked to my husband personally after surgery. I felt so much better after a few days at home and was back to work in about 3 weeks. I cannot believe how much happier and better I feel! I am… extremely thankful. Bottom line…Have Dr. LaReau and his wonderful team on your side, you will not regret it. By the way I know exactly where I’m going for my second side.

He may be a brilliant doctor but his bedside manner is terrible. He was condescending and rude and so was his nurse. Patients deserve to be treated with disrespect and not disgust. He is so full of himself there was hardly space in the room for anyone else.

I have to say Dr. LaReau is a life saver. My hip was really bone on bone. I had a total hip replacement. I could hardly walk. Dr. Lareau gave me my life back. Dr. Lareau is an exceptional surgeon. I will say if you need a hip replacement, this is the place to be. On a rating from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, he's a 10+! Thank you so much.

Yes, from capital "D". I'm so pleased to have met Dr. LaReau - by the way after friends referral. 2 weeks after my knee replacement I have my life back!!! I'm walking with no cane and no pain! If you need help with your knees - Justin LaReau is the one for you! Attentive, respectful , detail oriented, highly professional - in one word - AWESOME! His assistant Luke Anliker and other team members are great too - friendly, taking care of you as fast and as good as they can. Thank you all!

My husband and I are very grateful for our referral to Dr. LaReau. After months of debilitating pain, my husband's hip replacement restored not only his health but his sense of well being. Because of Dr. LaReau's intervention, we are now able to enjoy the fullness of life. The entire team at Hinsdale Orthopaedics was very professional and supportive throughout the entire process. Every question was answered with dignity and respect, scheduling was efficient, the weekly phone call to check on his progress were very reassuring. Just 8 weeks after the procedure we are off to Europe for 3 weeks, an adventure we wouldn't have considered prior to the surgery. If you are considering a procedure, know my husband is almost 80.
