I found Dr McArthur very dismissive. While he disagreed with the diagnosis that caused my primary care physician to refer me to him, he offered no suggestions of next steps. I do know of one of his long-time patients who is quite satisfied with him, but my experience was not good. Now that I know more (about my test results, treatment algorithms, etc), I would describe my experience as pretty bad.

Dr. McArthur is courteous, considerate, and well accomplished in his field. He is a 24/7 doctor and he is always there when you need him. He is the best doctor that I have had.

This doctor was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was not accurate in a diagnosis because of total lack of understanding and care and did not take the time to review records and was completely incorrect about everything from running proper tests to knowing what doctors were seen. This doctor did not take any action in terms of treatment, address pain issues or run appropriate tests.

Dr. McArthur is warm, knowledgeable,professional,and concerned.He is always there when you need a question answered via phone. He is a 24/7 doctor. He is the best doctor that I've been treated by and I've seen many!

I have been seen by a number of wonderful neurologists, but Dr. Mcarthur was outstanding. Besides his brilliance for diagnosing, his demeanor and thoughtfulness were above and beyond. His clinical note about the visit showed attention and insight and his extraordinary effort to reach me by phone following the appointment was humbling.
