I saw Dr Mortimer every few months to monitor my medication and happily did mot have to meet with him for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. His demeanor is monotone, without inflection, his face expressionless. His style of communication is very robotic and it always felt like he was working off a checklist of what to ask me? He appeared to have difficulty navigating the ebb snd flow of s conversation - as if, his part needed to be scripted for him ahead of time. He rarely gave me the impression that he ever. Remembered who I was and never made it comfortable to talk about anything. I just wanted to check on and get out as quickly as possible! His awkwardness made me very uncomfortable. It’s confusing why someone who is so socially awkward would go into a field of mental health who I requires a skill set he clearly lacks

I was in a deep depression with anxiety off the charts after a year of breast cancer treatment. drank after 2 years sober to calm down kept going to the hospital trying to get admitted. Finally my friend went into the Woburn office and begged for a psych asap. they got me an apt the next morning. he spent over 1 hour and 30 minutes with me. all that on my shoulders was lifted just knowing i finally had a mental health professional manage my meds. I am eternally grateful for him. I start counseling there tomorrow morning

Instantly judgemental, stereotypes, annoyed by patients trying to be heard to share information about themselves as an individual, will interupt you while ignoring you speak. responds as if he already has all he needs to know about you, uses intimidation while talking 'at' you like a lawman to a criminal. Never a pleasant word, gesture even at time of greeting and departing. I could go but I get far to upset thinking about this person who is clearly in the wrong field of work. This is my first time ever making a comment review regarding anyone or anything. I hope this will help to prevent this traumatic experience happening to another innocent and unsuspecting person who is seeking help from psychiatric care.
