He is extremely intelligent and dedicated to his profession. He is especially knowledgeable regarding bipolar disorder. He has saved many lives through his work and continues to do so.

The most important thing I can say about Dr. DeSilva is that he saved my life!!! I was very suicidal and he performed ECT on me. I am now living a happy, full life!!!

I have a long history of Bipolar. Dr. DeSilva has the most expertise and knowledge in this field than any psychiatrist I have worked with. Dr. DeSilva brought me to a much stabler state which I never thought existed. It took a while, as Dr. DeSilva specializes in difficult cases, but he would never give up. Suffering Bipolar for as long as I have, I am fortunate to have Dr. DeSilva as my physician.

Dr. De Silva has been my psychiatrist for 11 years. I was fortunate to get him to see me because even 11 years ago, he only took referrals from other doctors. Now, more psychiatrists refer patients to him than he can handle. As I stated in title, he is very intelligent (and also perceptive), which helps him make difficult diagnoses in the psychiatric field. He is soft-spoken, but this belies his ability to accurately diagnose problems with his patients. One other note--I have not always been the greatest patient in the world, but he has stuck with me.

I have had Dr. De Silva for about 7 years or more and would never consider using another Dr. Before I was a patient of his, my former psychiatrist didn't know what to do with me anymore, wasn't able to get me out of my depression, so he referred me to Dr. D. He has treated me successfully. Of course I have had my ups and downs, but he has always been there for me, to get me out of it. Highly recommend him!
