Dr. Kafele Taghafali Hodari, MD

Dr. Hodari caused one of our daughters to have kidney failure after prescribing an antibiotic for her, then redoing the prescription again AFTER my wife and I took our daughter back to see him as she had developed edema within one week of taking the drug. I had already looked up allergic reactions to the drug Dr. Hodari had prescribed and edema was in fact one of the possible serious side effects. BUT Dr. Hodari doubled down with the prescription! He should have ordered blood lab tests instead, as we immediately went to our pediatrician (who immediately ordered blood labs). The labs showed renal failure! Two years later, after taking our daughter down to UC Davis Medical Center almost every week to see a kidney specialist (who saved her life) we FINALLY got her off the tacrolimus. It was major trauma to say the least for these two years. I would never recommend Dr. Hodari to anyone for any type of dermatology, medicine, diagnosis, or alteration.

Nice people but poor service and ridiculous billing practices. Not thorough and sent a bill for over $600 after. Called to ask about the charges and was basically told they can't do anything about it and that disclosing the cost of their medical services is not their responsibility

dr Hodari did not ask any question about my over all health or serious illness or recent hospitalisations i was just released from the hospital with congestive heart failure i am a diabetic with difficulty in healing so sores get infected quickly now i am in difficulty he did not look at them just said stop scratching that was it '

I visited Dr. Hodari to check a spot on my skin. I was told specifically "this is not cancer" but rather dry skin and was given a cream to treat. A year later, the spot had not gone away. He reluctantly did a biopsy and called to confirm it was in fact melanoma. I received a second opinion in San Francisco at which I learned he had misread my diagnosis and had told me it was less severe than what the diagnosis actually confirmed. After speaking with others with similar stories, it seems he is more focused on the cosmetic side, and not taking the time to do proper skincare. It's disappointing when you visit and trust a doctor who then lets you down, especially when it comes to a fundamental piece of their particular medical focus.

If you want an experienced confident Dr...look elsewhere.

not satisfied, spent over thousand dollars, very poor procedures done, poor products used, I know of this have been going over 20 years in comparison to other doctors there, that had a better out come , poor quality used products, had to go back, and still not satisfied, something just isn't quite right there anymore. Dr. ricchi was good, Dr. Vanucci, good, the rest very good, but very poor quality was accomplished with me, not satisfied.

Both my wife and I see Dr. Hodari and we are totally happy with him. He answers all of our questions, is courteous and we wouldn't want to see any other doctor.

Excellent care received from Dr Hodari. Very patient. polite, and thorough. Took time and answered all my questions.

Doctor Hodari did not care about what I had to say. I explained my problem and he simply said I needed to go back to work to forget about my problem. He didn't check me properly. In my opinion he didn't want to take the time. I would never go back for consultation.
