Dr. Kamal Chaker Greiss, MD

One of the best who will be missed greatly.

I was a patient of doctor Greiss for 12 years and my mother was a patient as well before she passed away. One day I realized I hadn't gotten a call from his office for an appointment in a long while. So I called and once speaking to his assistant, we realized it had been over a year since I'd been to his office. It really didn't seem THAT long. So I asked to schedule an appointment with him and was told that the doctor was not seeing any new patients. But I'm NOT a new patient. I was told that, because I hadn't been to see him in over a year, I was now considered a new and he would not see me. At first I asked was she serious and she very serious. He said he would not see me. What kind of doctor does that?? He has no loyalty to his patients and I don't care how good of a doctor you are, that does not work well with me. Loyalty as a doctor is important, whether thwy want to think so or not. And if you do go to him, prepare to wait an hour or so, to see him, past your… appointment time. I have left many a day and had to reschedule because I would go before work. I will NEVER recommend him to ANYONE!!!

There is always at least a 3 hour wait for your appointment and the office is packed with patients. Parking is not easy in that section of Jersey City so I'd take a train to get there. Counting the travel time to and from and including the 3 hour wait for the appointment, I'd blow 5 hours on an afternoon doc's appointment with Griess. Very old school; does not use a computer or laptop or iPad for anything. When I waited too long during my fifth appointment, I got another endocrinologist. My new doc keeps me waiting perhaps 20 minutes tops.
