Dr. Kamayani Khare

She refuses to listen to the needs of the patient. I have had migraines for 23 years and I know what works for my pain. She refuses to prescribe me anything that will help because it is a narcotic. I’m not a pill chaser, I actually need this medication to help me but she refuses and continues to give me prescriptions that don’t work! She suggested I go to the emergency room for a sever migraine. If you know anything about migraines, going to a bright and loud place is the last thing you want to do!

I had my 1st, last & only visit with Dr. Khare for chronic migraine recently. I honestly don't recall her introducing herself but she came in with my chart art of repaired to tell me what line of treatment to pursue. She, literally, came in talking about what was next. No history, questions, why I'm concerned, is it something new?, Nothing. Considering I had never seen a Kelsey-Seybold neurologist for migraine treatment or any other neurological reason you'd think she would take time to acquaint herself with me. I mean, I did pay to come in for a visit. I was concerned why my migraine had suddenly increased significantly and wanted to discuss what may cause he uptick and should I be concerned. I had them under control for about 5 years using the FDA approved Cefaly device. so after a few months of frequent migraine headaches I am concerned. Needless to say the treatment plan she prescribed is not one I'll pursue. If she have asked me I would have said as much. So now I'm living with… migraines with no known reason for the change & no treatment beyond what I've been doing for years on my own. I will say she said I could go for a CT scan but "they're almost always negative." Well then.....why would I spend $150, when I have a fixed income, if it's gonna fall under "almost always negative?" No other options or opinion was given. Guess I'll count on that 'negative' result. I will say that it was easy to schedule an appointment and the office staff and nurse were very nice. Heck, I liked the nurse. She spoke TO me not AT me.

Dr Khare diagnosed me with Guillian-Barre Syndrome when NO OTHER doctor could figure it our. Some ignorant ER doctors in The Woodlands St Luke's hospital and ER kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me and I was just there seeking pain meds, EVEN AFTER I told them I CAN'T TAKE pain meds! Dr. Khare figured it out within a FEW MINUTES and had me started on IVIG treatment that very same day. Of course it took several treatments, many months to recover, and lots of PT to get me walking again, I can honestly tell you this brilliant woman is a God-send! Dr Khare SAVED MY LIFE! I will forever be in her debt.

I have been seeing Dr. Khare for approximately a year & a half. She basically refuses to help or prescribe anything other than an MS medication. Anytime I inform of symptoms, side effects and such she refers me to my spine/ pain specialist. She does not take me or my concerns serious, deflects, and does absolutely NOTHING!

I went in for severe fatigue, weakness and vertigo . She basically laughed in my face and said I needed to see a psychiatrist. I would have walked out has my mom not been with me. I held back tears and had to hand her my notes because I was so upset that she did not care to hear how the last 8 months of me suffering from this and the symptoms. She did finally agree to run tests after making me feel stupid.

My wife had chronic stroke - meaning it bleeds i head weeks or days. For her it started as severe headache and went to urgent care and then 2 days later to see Dr Khare. When we reached hospital she was fainting and could talk properly - as if she is drunk. Dr Khare was all giggling and pronounced it as migraine. I told her she don't have a history of migraine and why is she my wife talking like a drunkard. Her explanation was really bad headache can cause this - really Dr? Bad headache and person cannot stand or walk without help? I asked here should we do CT scan and she replied no need as all symptoms are of bad headache. Please read symptoms of chronic stroke. You are a neurologist after all. You should know some basics. Anyway y wife was diagnosed in an ER as having massive bleeding in her head and taken to ICU in St Luke's Hospital. Oh, as per Dr Khare, it is all symptoms of headache and she giggles

Dr. Khare needs to humble herself and listen to her patients and consider what they might be going through. She comes across like she is GOD because she's been to medical school so I must be clueless! I had a Brain MRI that was normal and an EMG that was supposedly normal and she's done. I have ALOT of neurological issues going on that the ENT, PCP and others can't help me with BECAUSE IT'S NEUROLOGICAL! ??????
