Dr. Muhammad is a subspecialist in interventional cardiology with expertise in cardiac catheterization, coronary intervention (including angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound), peripheral vascular intervention (including carotid intervention) as well as interventional therapies for structural heart disease, including PFO, ASD and valvular disease. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Muhammad has authored many peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters on important cardiology topics.

Dr. Muhammad completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, which included an additional year of dedicated training in peripheral vascular and structural cardiac intervention. His Clinical Cardiology Fellowship was also conducted at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Muhammad completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he was selected and served as Chief Resident. …He earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Muhammad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.

This was my 3 year TAVR follow up, Great to be alive, feeling well and enjoying a quality Life again. I can NOT THANK O.H.I., Dr. Muhammad , Moriah & Staff enough for the high level of Professional Cardiac care they have given me!! I would also like to thank the Ultra Sound Tech, and Clerk at Radiology. However the clerk who checked me in for Dr. Muhammad was not so courteous, She was curt, sharp in her tone, Told me I need to fill out the registration paper work, I advised her I filled it out on line the day before, she said No you did not, I advised her again Yes I did, she said you filled it out for Utica Park Clinic earlier in the month but not for this appointment. I asked for the paper work to fill out. She said no they can get it the next time. There was also a problem when setting up my next years Appointment, she could not set the Ultra Sound Appointment at the same time because it was NOT preapproved. She needs some customer service skills!

This was my first appointment with Dr. Muhammad after a referral from my regular cardiologist. I thought I was going to be evaluated as a preparation for a heart procedure but Dr. Muhammad explained my condition and prescribed new medication that may help me avoid the mitral valve procedure. He was very thorough and spend an appropriate amount of time with me. I am very confident in his ability and skill. His nurse Mariah was also very thorough.

Dr. Muhammad is an excellent cardiologist...His staff is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful...Dr. Muhammad took the time to really study my particular case and explained all the details with clarity...He also took the time to listen and answer all my quetions/concerns in full detail...I felt I was in really good hands after my appointment...Highly recommend....

Was very condescending. Doesn't believe in sedation so procedure very painful and stressful.
