Horrible. Put me down every chance she had about my weight and life choices, though I saw her while in crisis over family cancer diagnoses, extreme work stress, and trying to figure out an anxiety diagnosis. I had just finished my master's program and was in a state of flux. I avoided healthcare for a year before finding a new doctor.

Compassionate and helpful in my weight loss

Dr. Judge use to be an empathetic physician who wanted to partner with a patient in decisions about health. Recent changes to the office have doubled her patient load, and that's had a negative effect not only on a patient's ability to get on her schedule, but also on her ability and willingness to treat patients with basic human courtesies. As a result, I have lost all trust in her; one can easily get the feeling that she just wants to get you out of the exam room ASAP so she can move on to the "dozens" of other patients waiting to see her. She's clearly so stressed out that she's no longer able/willing to care about patients. My difficulties in the last four months have included: 1) Getting an appointment within a reasonable amount of time (she's now booking 2-3 months out) 2) Keeping an appointment once you have one (I showed up to two appointments at the designated time only to be told that the appointment had been cancelled with no notice) 3) Staff responsiveness to… referral requests - my physical therapist has needed a referral from Dr. Judge for three months, and her office has yet to respond 4) I have never been treated with such disdain and disrespect by any health care provider than I was by Dr. Judge at my last visit. I was lectured, cut off, spoken down to, and given examples of why my health didn't deserve to be treated as seriously as, say, her 44 year-old male patient with cancer. She found the time to lecture me about how lucky I was that she was "giving" me the 15 minutes she actually spent with me; apparently, there was "a room of 25 people waiting to see me" so I should be thankful for my 15 minutes in the sun. She behaved as if she was speaking to an errant child. 5) Complete lack of follow up with test results - after she ordered tests, I was never contacted discuss the results; it was left up to me to look up the results myself and conduct research to decipher the findings. So yes, I might be taking negative results too seriously - I can't get my physician's perspective because she doesn't contact me to discuss results and I've been trying to get in to see her for months! I still have hope that Dr. Judge and her office can recover, but in the meantime, she'll have to find someone else to treat as irrelevant.
