Dr. Kara Elizabeth Chidester, MD

I am kind of picky about doctors. My father and grandfather were board-certified surgeons, my uncle is a physician, and two of my cousins are physicians. My mother was an RN, And my sister is an advanced practice nurse. In addition, my legal practice focused on physicians and health care for many years. Dr. Chidester has my complete trust and respect. She listens carefully and gives full consideration to my history and symptoms. She talks to me in a way that says we are partners in this process. I feel respected and heard. Dr. Chidester orders tests judiciously. She or one of her assistant gets back to me promptly. The care I receive is excellent. What more could a patient want? Nothing. But Dr. Chidester offers more. She’s also a very cool person. She’s genuine and real. She has a great sense of humor and we often end up laughing during the appointments. Not essential characteristics by any means, but much appreciated. On my most recent visit, Dr. Chidester performed some… minor surgery to remove a piece of glass embedded in my foot. After she extracted it, she checked to see if there was more glass, deeper in. There was, and she was able to remove the second shard as well. She spent about 40 minutes taking care of me. She was skillful, patient, and kind. She didn’t scold me when I flinched a lot. I had called at 9:15 in the morning was seen within two hours. I was so happy and grateful when I left. It was an admirable example of old-fashioned doctoring, well done! Dr. Chidester is awesome. Highest recommendation.

She talks to me in a way that says we’re partners in this process. I feel respected and heard. When I call the office, she or her staff call back promptly. The care I receive is excellent. What more could a patient want? Nothing. But Dr. Chidester provides more. She’s a very cool person. She’s genuine, real, with a great sense of humor. After she removed it, she checked to see if there was more glass, deeper in, and there was. She managed to get that piece out as well. She was skillful and kind. It was an admirable example of real, old-fashioned doctoring! Great job. I was so happy and grateful when I left. I had called at 9:15 in the morning and was given an appointment at 11:15. Dr. Chidester spent about 40 minutes with me, taking her time and not seeming frustrated when I flinched. She was awesome.

Upon entering greeted warmly, checked in quickly, Dr. Chidester makes you feel comfortable and personable. Dr. Chidester's Nurse was great at taking blood and giving shots. I have been going to Dr. Chidester for several years now and recommend her to anyone looking for a great Physician.
