Dr. Karen Hoffman Baerenstecher, MD

She misdiagnosed me with heart burn sent me home...I went to her office 2/3 times until I finally made her give me blood work. The results came back that my bilirubin was at 690...I was literally dying and this idiot was trying to give me heart burn medicine. I ended up in the hospital for 8 days...she needs to have her license revoked. She's incompetent.

She misdiagnosed me with Heartburn, I had to make her give me blood work after 3 office visits, long story short I was in the hospital for 8 days! one more day and I would have been dead...this woman is stupid and needs to have her licensed revoked! My daughter and I have gone in twice for blood work, and never received results until the following annual visit.

Not compassionate at all.. poor communication and follow up

I moved to Houston a year ago and established myself with Dr. Baerenstecher. I have seen her a half dozen times for illness and an annual physical. She is thorough and compassionate. She is also very good about actually discussing options with me. I have a lot of medication allergies and she has been thoughtful, cautious, and and has accurately been able to prescribe antibiotics that have been been effective and safe after ordering proper cultures and sensibility tests.

Excellent clinician

Dr. Baerenstecher invests a lot of time in her patients, to understand and treat the problem. She has a great bedside manner, is compassionate, very knowledgeable. I have been to many doctors, and she is at the top of the list. Office staff is also excellent.
