Dr. Karen S Birdy, DO

Dr. Birdy was loudly talking about me as she walked through the office causing much embarrassment. During the visit she talked about how great she is compared to other doctors, chiropractors, and massage therapist. She did not listen to me or my list of concerns. Do not go there!

Dr. Birdy should not be allowed to work with female hormones. She prescribed me (and two other of my co-workers) massive amounts of every hormone known to man and as a result I became super sick and am still trying to get over it. She has no understanding of how to work with hormones and has caused significant suffering.

Dr. Birdy is very knowledgeable and has a good holistic view. Diagnosed my son's Celiac Disease when regular docs kept prescribing antibiotics!! That said, questions you leave on the answering machine are not returned very promptly. Not good in emergencies to get in the same day.

Never comes close to meeting the appointment time. Staff does poor job of transferring prescriptions and appointments to specialists and testing facilities. It is very common to go to a blood testing facility and find out that the paperwork never arrived, then they blame it on the collection people. Then they are hard to reach to get the info. (automatically put on hold).

This place is a mess. No consideration for long waits. Will not return calls regarding billing. Charges whatever they want after the initial payment is made. Office should be closed down. Not worth the time - the extra long time wait time, the indifferent attitude of the staff and Dr. Birdy. Go find another doctor.

Dr. Birdy diagnoses and treats my entire body and overall health! She and her staff are thorough, kind and compassionate ... and extremely knowledgeable! If you are seeking truth, prevention and overall health, she is the best!!!

The first time I also Dr. Birdy, the wait was 2-1/2 hours. The second time was1-1/2 hour. At no time the office attempted to talk to me about this delay. I was assured by Dr. Birdy that the fee for those visits were $125.00. for each visit. The bills were paid by credit card. To this day, the first payment although shows that a credit card payment has been made, the bill does not reflect this payment. Left message for office manager to call me to correct this issue. No calls yet.

The bottom line is that she diagnoses excellently. In addition, she prescribes compounded medicines and recommends excellent and cost-effective compounding pharmacies and labs. She treats holistically, and offers nutritional supplements, which have been effective for me, although they can be pricey, not being covered by insurance.

My overall experience with Dr. Birdy was very positive. She is knowledgeable and willing to work as a partner with you on your health care. Her staff was pleasant and professional. The wait time is a bit long but to me that is a Plus because she spends time with each of her patients. You never feel rushed. Have recommended this doctor to friends and family.

The wait time is in excess of an hour. The office staff is very unprofessional. Office ediquite is nonexistant. Office staff makes numerous errors. It's my understanding that Dr. Birdy doesn't care because all these conditions continue to get worse.
